Old Bengali architecture Bihar built in 7th century | Visiting Salban Bihar

in Traveling Steemlast month

Hello travelers, today I will share with you my experience of traveling to one of the ancient monuments of Bangladesh and some pictures of the place. If you are a travel enthusiast then I hope you will like this blog. It's Ripon, I am a traveler and in today's blog I will show you Salban Bihar.

Salbon Bihar is one of the oldest monuments of Bangladesh. There is a detailed discussion about it in the literature books, from which it is known that it was made in the seventh century. It was built by the fourth king of the then Bengali dynasty.

It has become popular with people as a tourist center for several years. This can be a good place for those who like to see the monuments of ancient times. The ticket price for entering here is 30 Bdt/1.5 STEEM per person. Let's share some pictures of the place with you.

Salbon bihar font made from trees is very cool to look at, it will catch the eye of anyone as soon as they enter. After entering inside, you can see some gardens across the front path. Before going to Main Bihar, different types of flower gardens can be seen on the way. Gardens on both sides and a narrow path in between, the day I went it was raining which made the beauty of the place stand out more.

After walking for some time, tourists will see the main temple. Bihar means ancient architecture. The kings of earlier times built it here to accommodate Buddhists. I was surprised that the architecture built during that era is still pretty well intact. I tried to explore every part of the whole place.

Several parts of the entire Bihar have been destroyed over time. The brick pillars of the building are still shinning. Moreover, some old signs can be seen on these bricks, which may be the language style of the people of the old era. To me, the small architecture of the entire establishment is very unique.

There are some other structures that are restricted and several parts are under repair. However, there is no opportunity for tourists to get bored there. Especially the different types of unique trees and flower gardens are worth enjoying. I saw several new types of plants that I don't know the names of but looked very eye-catching.

This Bihar is located in the Mainamati cantonment area of Comilla district. It is located between our capital city of Dhaka and Chittagong where it can be easily reached by any transportation such as bus, train etc. I am mentioning the map w3w location for the convenience of those who want to visit here.

Finally I would say this is a very good place to see ancient monuments. Moreover, this is a suitable place to visit with family and children's because they can come here and learn a lot about the history of the ancient era of Bengal. Stay well everyone, see you in another travel blog.
