Rangamati is located in Chittagong Hill Tracts in southern part of Bangladesh. There are numerous lakes within the hill sanctuary. Many tourist centers have been built on the banks of these lakes. In today's travel story, I will share with you a spot in which numerous Bengali movies, plays, dramas have been shot.

It's called the Hanging Bridge, and it's named after this iconic structure. On the first impression of this spot, many may think that there is no beauty in it. But one's opinion about the place can change because a closer look reveals it's hidden charm. Let's take a virtual visit to Rangamati and explore the heart of the Hanging Bridge

A ticket is required to visit this bridge. Isn't it surprising to think? Most bridges you can simply walk across but a ticket is required to visit this one. Apart from the bridge, this spot has some other amazing areas that fascinate the tourists. Therefore, as a tourist center, the ticket price for entering here is 20 taka/0.17$ Usd.

To reach the bridge, you have to walk some steps from the entry gate. Being a hilly area, there are many ravines in places, so you have to walk carefully. After trekking for a while I finally reached the bridge. It was huge in size. The closer I got to it, the bigger it got. Let's me share some pictures of the bridge.

The reason why this bridge is so popular is that many Bengali movies and drama scenes have been shot on it, which makes everyone interested in climbing it. Its floor was made of wood and cane. It swayed a lot when I got on it. However, I enjoyed the cradle on this hanging bridge.

A little ahead after crossing this bridge there is a market set up by the small ethnic group of people who live in these hilly areas. Various fruits produced in the mountains were being sold there. I like pineapple the most. These tasted more delicious than the pineapples available in our area market.

I bought some small sized pineapples there and bought some for my family members. The price of each pineapple was between 20-40 taka according to the size. Then after a little walk I came to the shore of the lake.

Along with the hanging bridge, tourists visit here to see the beauty of these lakes. There are some small bridges on the very bank of the lake, on which one can enjoy the view of the entire lake. A sight so mesmerizing it leaves you wanting more with every visit. No matter how much I see, I want to see more.

Rangamati is a place of calm and excitement. I loved several areas of the spot. I enjoyed the peaceful lake view from the Hanging Bridge and hiked the mountain trails for amazing nature views. If you love mountains and lakes, Rangamati offers endless peace.
