Today I am here with pictures of some plants and various small plants. While roaming around we come across many plants whose names we don't know and even if we know their names we are not aware of their benefits. One such plant is Tulsi plant.

Tulsi Tree

Tulsi plant is generally of two types.

1. Sri Tulsi (flowers of blue color)
2. Krishna Tulsi (flowers of purple or black color)

Tulsi is a bushy plant. Its height is usually up to 1-2 flowers. Its leaves are small and have a pungent smell. The flowers are usually purple or black in color. Its benefits include:-

1. Acts as a natural medicine for colic, cough, cold, headache, etc.
2. Tulsi also plays a special role in increasing immunity.
3. Increasing digestion.
4. Skin health.
5. Tuli is also used to bring peace of mind.

Also, Tulsi plant oil is also good for skin and hair.

It holds a very high place in Ayurvedic scriptures for its medicinal properties. This plant is commonly known as Parijat or Night Jasmine. This tree has a mystical place in Indian mythology and folklore. Parijata flowers and plants are mentioned in Bhagavad Gita and Hari-Vamsa Purana. This tree is famous as "Queen of the Night". Surprisingly, the scientific name of this tree means "sorrow tree".

Shiuli or Parijat can grow as a tree or shrub. The height of the bush is about 10-11 meters. Its bark is rough and gray in color. The long leaves of the plant have hairs. White flowers bloom in clusters at the ends of its branches. The brown seeds of the plant are round or heart shaped. This plant does well in partially shaded areas and does not require much daily care.
