Hello to everyone. I'd like to welcome you to my blog, which details my recent trip to Ooty. I planned this vacation to be as cost-effective as possible. In order to save money, I opted to travel by bike, which has an excellent mileage of roughly 50 kilometers per liter of gasoline. Keep reading to the conclusion of the blog for a detailed analysis of the total costs incurred throughout the trip.

Ouch! Is it afternoon 12 AM? 😦

To begin, let me present a specific geographical context: Ooty is around 100 kilometers from my current house and requires approximately 4.5 liters of gasoline for traveling. When I left with my wife at 8 a.m., we were pleasantly delighted by the genuinely beautiful weather - the ultimate cold factor that we hadn't anticipated.

Hot snacks to quinch chillness of Dodda Betta Hills

You can see the photo above, which was taken at 11:30 a.m. Regardless of the hour, the weather looks to be similar to that of 6 a.m. I couldn't completely adjust to the local circumstances, so I bought a monkey helmet, which helped me adapt to the environment.

Roadsides of heaven Ooty

We didn't go straight to Ooty; instead, we climbed the Kotagiri Hills first. Later, we planned to visit Dodda Betta Hills, India's second largest hills with a beautiful climate varying from a maximum of 15 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 0 degrees Celsius. Numerous stores serve hot peanuts and snacks, which we desperately needed and enjoyed.

Me looking to buy some lands 😝

We were extremely moved by the wonderful atmosphere of the Kotagiri tea farms, coffee plantations, eucalyptus trees, and ancient, towering woods. We have a soft spot in our hearts for these sceneries. The splendor of nature was breathtaking, especially in the enforced region, creating an insurmountable barrier of amazement. Despite the fact that it was afternoon, there was no sign of heat; instead, there was a coolness in the air.

Beauty enriched view

Furthermore, I discovered that tourism attractions are quite important in terms of teaching. The Tirupur district's economy is heavily reliant on the export of knitted clothes. Our knowledge of the educational system, including schools and universities, was limited. However, I was surprised to learn that tourist areas such as Ooty and Kotagiri have a plethora of institutions that excel at delivering quality education and coaching to children. In comparison to other districts, the educational infrastructure in these areas is superior. My Managing Director's son is also a student at Kotagiri, which speaks volumes about the level of coaching and emphasis on education in Ooty and Kotagiri.

Famous school at Kotagiri

We started our return journey at 4 p.m. We decided to go to a coffee shop called "Kaapi bar" to enjoy the weather while eating some tasty food. The atmosphere was one of branding and elegance. We got two Rs 100 coffees upon entering, which is substantially more costly than the Rs 20 coffee offered at neighborhood stores.

While self-serving at Coffee shop

The cost was justified, however, by the great quality and amount of coffee given. The high concentration of coffee in each cup was outstanding, offering a nice experience that suited the beautiful weather well.

We met light traffic on the way back, which lengthened our travel and gave us more time to enjoy the beauty of Kotagiri. It was a very memorable day for my wife and me because it was our first journey together following our marriage. We purchased numerous delicious purchases, including chocolates that were fairly priced due to the proximity of production firms.

By eve! Saying goodbye to the trip

We also purchased fresh carrots, radishes, and several local fruits. Unfortunately, I was unable to photograph these items, but we did purchase them. We finally arrived home about 7 p.m., capping up an eventful and unforgettable day.
