People of Bangladesh severely affected by floods.
It is with great sadness that the people of Bangladesh are not doing well in floods😢. Bangladesh is seriously affected. The flood situation in Bangladesh is deteriorating due to continuous heavy rains and water flowing from the upstream of Tripura state of India. It is getting worse day by day.
When suddenly faced with such a situation without any preparation, there is no direction to be found. Children, elderly, women and sick people are the most affected.
A total of thirteen districts including Feni, Noakhali, Comilla, Laxmipur, Brahmanbaria, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Habiganj, Khagrachari, Bandarban, Moulvibazar are floating in the flood water. The people of Feni district are the most affected. Newly, water is entering Khulna and Satkhira regions after breaking the barrier. Village after village is drowning. About 30 lakh people have become waterlogged.
The Dhaka-Chittagong highway is also knee-deep in water. The condition of Comilla is also very bad. The flood situation is worsening as time goes on. Roads and houses are all submerged in water. Flooded areas have lost power and internet. Over 30% of sites are down. Millions of people lack safe shelter, food and clean water. There are many videos that have gone viral on social media, it is really disturbing to see them. I can't stop my mind.
Bangladesh Army, students, general public and various voluntary organizations such as As-Sunnah Foundation were involved in rescuing the flood victims.
Also, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has come forward to help the flood victims. According to one of their circulars, adequate quantity of water purification tablets in flood-affected areas, formation of emergency medical teams in hospitals and sufficient saline and other essential medicines including antivenom have been asked. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has canceled the leave of health workers and officials in flood-affected areas.
