My biggest travel in 2023 |

I traveled to Ekpoma in Edo state Nigeria. what3word Ekpoma is a town in Edo state Nigeria. It is one of the five largest town in Esanland.
I traveled with some colleagues to Edo State for an event. This was even a big one from one of the top people in our church. Since Edo State was a long-distance trip, we left early in the morning. The church provided some vehicles for interested persons who wished to attend.
To my greatest surprise, the four long coaster buses were filled, and we even left some people behind. In the course of this journey, the vehicle I joined was filled with so much fun. We had so much to eat and drink.

A particular man in the vehicle didn't allow anyone to sleep; he cracked jokes until we got to our destination. We even got to a point and started using Google Maps to trace where we were going because it was late.
But finally, we go there safely. This event was a celebration of a life well spent. Rooms were available for every attendee. We had lots of drinks and food when we got to the location.
The next day was the event. I got up so early, took my bath, dressed for the event, and stepped out to meet my colleagues. During the event, we were first served pineapples as a sign of welcome before different types of dishes were distributed. Just order, as they are carrying the dishes around. They had some dancers who performed so well.
Some traditional rulers also came out to display some functions, then the women finally came with their uniforms and moved around with the man's wife before the man himself came out with his own people. It was all fun.

The special treatment we got was amazing, maybe because we came from afar. I enjoyed this trip with my colleagues, who turned out to be sisters and brothers. It was all fun moving with them. We even sang and danced while in the vehicle, and people were just looking at us as if we were misbehaving.
I've never been to Edo State; this trip was my first visit to Edo State. I did my sightseeing so well and captured all my interesting adventures. A lot of things got my attention, and they were captured, but unfortunately, I changed my cell phone because the old one became bad, and now I can't help but just remember my adventures.

Since the church provided the bus for the trip and the host made available rooms for each person, I literally spent nothing because feeding was all taken care of by our host. We never went hungry. We ate to our satisfaction daily for 3 days. Yes, it was a 3-day trip and a fun one.
Such travel doesn't come often, but if I were to choose, I would love to have this trip again in 2024. I have plans already for my trips in 2024; I only ask that God grant my request and help my dream come true.
2024 is a great year, and it's coming with lots of good news for me, so my 2024 trip will be much better than 2023's trip.

I was kinda looking at the man you were standing next to and then assume it was your dad as you look very much like him. It's interesting to know you visited Ekpoma in Edo state and you actually enjoyed your stay there. Are you still there or you've returned? If you've returned, hope my own share is reserved?
