NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST | CAPTURING THE NIGHT | WEEK 5

Wishing everyone good health. Hope you are all well. By the grace of Allah I am also well. Now I come to participate in a contest among you. This community moderator @benoitblanc has organized a wonderful photographic contest. That is considered as night photography. So I appeared there with my entry.

We Steemians love photography because photography is a popular content type on the Steem blockchain. Photography is a creative medium through which we can express our own perspective and imagination. We can take photos of different content or scenes and share them on the Steam platform to show off our creativity. Below I will share three categories of night photography.

Cityscape Photography 📸

Cityscape photography is a special type of photography that focuses on cityscapes or architecture. This is similar to landscape photography. The difference, however, is that landscape photography uses natural scenery as the main subject, while cityscape photography focuses on the city's buildings, roads, bridges, monuments, and other architectural features. The main purpose of cityscape photography is to capture the beauty, diversity, and architecture of the city.

• Night cityscape photography can be done at any time of the night and can reflect the vibrancy and dynamism of city life. In the picture below you can see an apartment with many lights on. At night, an apartment with many lights on the street looks amazing. Every window and balcony in the lighted building gives off a sense of brightness and warmth. If the lights are of different colors, it becomes more interesting. The bright lights in the surrounding darkness add to the beauty of the apartment. And it looked like a dreamy scene to me. I picked up the pick while riding my bike on the side of the highway at night.

Astrophotography Photography 📸

Astrophotography is a special genre of photography that captures celestial objects and scenes related to astronomy. It takes pictures of the moon, stars, planets, nebula, galaxies, and the Milky Way. Usually it is photographed in combination with landscape and sky. I captured the view of the cloudy night sky.

• A cloudy night sky usually creates a mixture of soft light and dark darkness. Due to cloud cover, little or no star or moon light is visible. As a result, the sky gets a smooth and mysterious atmosphere due to the clouds. In urban areas, light can be seen reflecting off the clouds in the sky, creating a faint glow. The cloudy night sky gives quite a mysterious and slightly ghostly feel. That's why I took this picture.

Night Portraits Photography 📸

Night portrait photography refers to portrait photos taken at night where the main focus is on a specific place or object. Such photography can be challenging at night due to the low light, but using the right lighting and camera settings it is possible to take excellent pictures. Night portrait photography typically uses artificial light, flash, low aperture, and high ISO to ensure that the subject is well lit and still during the shot. I took this picture below very carefully. It was late night.

• This place is located in the middle of Sakhipur town in Tangail district. Taltala round square in Sakhipur, Tangail creates a pleasant atmosphere at night. The silence of the night and the natural beauty of the surroundings make this place special. The streets of the area are accompanied by the occasional rustling of leaves with a light breeze, which adds to the beauty of the night. Especially, if the sky is cloudy at night, the light of the street lights diffuses through the leaves of the trees creating a magical atmosphere. All in all, the night beauty of Taltala round square has been a wonderful experience for nature lovers. The street was quiet at night. I clicked the picture at that moment.

There is a sense of mystery and excitement when doing night photography. In the dark of night, when the environment is calm and still, capturing special moments by playing with light feels so magical. Besides, there is a unique sense of calmness and creativity when taking photos in night city lights, starry sky, or quiet surroundings. That's why I love photography and present it to you.
