Hello Everyone!

It’s great to see such interesting topics every week from the community @Traveling Steem. Your contest and challenge posts make us users travel more or pre-plan our next travel destination. So, thank you :)

Tell us about your next holiday plan so it helps travelers decide where to go for their next destination as an idea. Even if you have no immediate plan, you can still share your favorite destination.

I will soon plan a short trip to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is also known as Banaras or Kashi. It is also known as the spiritual capital of India. It is in the northern side of India and it’s well known for its silk sarees, handicrafts, woodwork, metal, and ornaments.

Please mention the duration one should stay there to fully explore the destination and describe your mode of transportation, plus the places to stay at your favorite destination.

To fully explore this destination, one needs to stay there for around one week. But if someone wants to visit only the main tourist places, then 3 days are enough.

I would book my flight ticket directly from Kathmandu to Varanasi from Buddha Airlines. It costs around 10 to 12k per person. I would love to stay at Brij Rama Palace, Varanasi - By the Ganges. It’s a bit costly but it’s worth it as it is situated in its own Ghat. It was built in the 18th century and is one of the oldest architecture in Varanasi.

Mention the key spots you intend to visit at this destination or suggest them to our readers. It would be a nice idea if you could guide the travelers on how much would it cost to live there in different capacities.

The must-visit places in Varanasi are:

1) Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple
It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. A jyotirlinga is a devotional representation of Lord Shiva. Devotees from all over the world seek to visit Kashi Vishwanath at least once in their lifetime to seek Moksha (liberation).

2) Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat
As Varanasi is one of the holiest places in India, it is said that spirituality flows in the water of the river Ganga. And, to worship the Lord, ghats light up in the evening with lamps, diyas, and chants.

3) Ramnagar Fort
It was built in the 18th century by Maharaja Balwant Singh, and its historical architecture and elegance are worth the visit.

4) Banaras Ghats
Ghats are mainly for taking baths and religious rituals, where you come to know the traditions of India.

There are many more places and temples to visit. But these all are must-visit places. And you don’t have to change the place of stay to visit these places. Simply stay at one of the hotels and then travel to these places by auto or cab according to your convenience.

Lastly, I would like to invite @ to participate in this challenge and share their travel plan with us. Thank you :)

That’s quite a large sum. Flights are very expensive nowadays. I do hope you have a good time in your vacation. Best wishes

¡Saludos amiga!😊
