Living out of suitcase

There are different rule for different travel and seasons. I have a Echolac briefcase which I use on official tour for a day or two. I had been to Katmandu in summer with the same briefcase. It contains my both clothes as well as office files.

Echolac_Logo.jpgUikimedia

I have a side bag which I use on official tours for more than one day in winter, it can carry an extra slippers also. I generally have different set of toiletries kept inside the side bag. It's always kept ready for travel. Please don't forget to carry soap paper while traveling by train.

I used to visit my branch office directly from main office without any language. I kept one night dress at the guest house. I had been to many places in single cloth for a day or two.

I traveled Rajasthan a state of India for 28 days wearing a jeans trouser. My luggage did not bother me for a single day. I also didn't feel any scarcity of dress. Moreover I bought one local traditional jacket to carry home.

Actually a minimalistic approach is the best strategy for hassle free travel.

Trecking in Himalayas

One person can carry a load upto 15 kg (should not be more than 20% of your body weight) even while trecking back bending stiffness of mountain at a altitude of 18000ft (5486 M).

Always try local food to avoid carring ration. Always take ration from last available point of purchase. We use to carry home made cooked food tinned from Elmac to break monotony.

A fifty liter rucksack will have enough space to carry all essential things including one sleeping bag for a treck upto two weeks.

Here is an example of Himalayas high altitude treking gears

ItemWeight
Rucksack: Camp M4 – 40 L1 Kg
T-Shirts, trek pants, inner wear, socks, caps, gloves etc.2 Kg
Warm Jacket: Mountain Hardware Windstopper Tech Fleece650g
Windproof/Waterproof: Jacket370 g
Sleeping Bag 15 Deg F1.3 Kg
Accessories and Medical Kit1 Kg
Water: Hydration pack/bottle of 1.5/2 L2 Kg
Miscellaneous: GPS, Notebook, pen, Binocular etc1 Kg
Camera with additional batteries1 Kg

In total 10 Kg and this is how it looks after packing.

In general all ration food grains, tents, ice axe and ice sticks are carried by porters. One should carry personally some dry fruits, candy etc

Hello friend greetings to you. Hope are having good time there.

You loos a professional travelers. It seems you have great knowledge of traveling. I really really like it too. I do love to go to the natural beautiful places and hilly areas.

I prefer a rucksack over a suitcase, because rucksack is easy to carry. We can keep all the luggage we want.

I wish you very best of luck here in the contest.

Oh my word! If I think packing for traveling to Mozambique is bad, I can just imagine what you must go through when you have to pack for an adventure like this.
In your case, there is no room for error and no turning back.
I think the packing can be almost be as stressful as the journey.

Good luck with the contest!

You are a true traveler. The way you well arranged the plans of travels and how you take your items in necessity into packaging avoiding baggages is a way of showing how you love traveling. My mom till this moment hasbthe echolac bag right frim her secondary school days. The only thing is that she doesn't use them for travels anymore. For you using them for official tour especially shows how much you love that bag .

Your traveling essentials are also intact with a good tabular list of them all.. The pair of shirts, socks, caps, gloves, jacket, GPS, notepad, pen, waterproof or windproof jackets, accessories, medical kits, water bottle snd your camera ith additional batteries. Are you confidently sure that all these things will fit in a rusack bag? It might have been doing so, but I still found doubts..

Thanks for sharing and good luck with the challenge...

Thank you for visiting my post and nice words. Don't doubt it will accommodate all in 40l sack.

Yes he's indeed a true traveller as he has a very nice choice. We really need to travel with our important items that always makes life easy for us so that we can be comfortable.

I see that your mum doesn't use those bags for travelling anymore bug rather for official tours, that's really great.

¡Holaaa amigo!😊

Hello dear friend, @impersonal

  • Ecolac briefcase that you use on official trips for a day or two. This briefcase seems a bit unfamiliar to me because I haven't seen it. You also have a site bag that you use for winter travel. I think you are a very smart person because everything that is so messy looks so good with your clothes. Also you feel more comfortable to travel hassle free yes that is normal. Because if there is any trouble for the trip then the trip is completely over which is really sad. You have given an example of Himalayan trekking step by step and mentioned in detail which I like very much. All in all very nice presentation of your post through which I got to know a lot about you and learn a lot from you.

Best regards from @robin42

Echolac used to be dream traveling bag for everyone back then. I could remember when I cried because I didn't have echolac and I refused to travel until I have it.

Getting your items ready and neatly package your bag shows how important traveling is to you and how you enjoy traveling. One could tell from your content.

Success to you!

Tank you for visiting my post and your passion for travelling.

A cordial greeting, I see that you are an explorer traveler of another level, with experience. Traveling alone on explorer adventures is different from a family trip with young children. There is something for everyone.

But it's great to know other people's experiences and to know what I can take on those other level adventures that involve camping, climbing, overnight stays in the open.A first aid kit is paramount and backpacking is king on these trips.

Success and blessings on your travels.

Thank you for visiting my post and sweet comment.

A minimalist approach to traveling is very effective. With a ready-to-use side bag and the ability to carry additional toiletries and slippers, you maximize comfort.

Then, storing the evening gown at the destination shows efficiency in planning the trip. The experience of traveling to Rajasthan in jeans and buying a local jacket emphasized flexibility and adaptability.

This strategy not only makes travel easier, but also provides an opportunity to enjoy local experiences more authentically. Remembering to bring soap paper when using the train is a useful tip for a more enjoyable journey.
