It is very nice to know that you are equipped both mentally and physically to adopt adverse situation of an Iland. You have not mentioned any specific Island where you may go (correct me if I'm wrong).
I can suggest you a real Island of India called Andaman and Nicobar consisting of 571 Islands of which 37 are inhabited. There is tribe called Jarwa in particular maintaining steadfast independence and refusing most attempts at contact.
I had been to one of the Iland called Havlock from Port Blair where my journey ended due to some inevitable reason and returned to Port Blair for medical treatment.
