SEC-S18W2 | My Trip to a Museum or Zoo 🐼
Hello fellow travelers, Even though I'm not officially participating in the contest, I still felt the urge to join in because I wanted to share my exploration of a rather unique museum. This museum is quite special because it is located inside a castle in Trento, an important city in the Trentino Alto Adige region. When we talk about museums, we can mean many things: the classic museum of paintings or objects, a prestigious residence, or an architectural landmark. Then there are also open-air museums, as I call them, which might be spread across small villages or hamlets. I have visited it several times in my life. It is a castle built in the 9th century by the Bishop of Trento on a site that already had reconstructions from the Roman era, likely something that defended the city's center. However, in the following centuries, it was expanded and modified with the addition of new towers, courtyards, and rooms. For several years after Trento was conquered by the Habsburgs, the castle remained the residence of the Prince Bishops. It was used not only for its military function but also as a place for representations and important events. After the fall of episcopal power, the castle was used as a courthouse and a prison, but only in the twentieth century was it restored and reopened to the public after a long period of decay. It became an important museum and a symbolic place for the city of Trento. To fully enjoy the beauty of the castle, I recommend a visit of at least two to three hours. Especially during peak season, to avoid lines at the entrance, I suggest booking your ticket online. Another very important thing is that for several years now, the castle has been partially accessible to visitors with mobility disabilities. Inside, there is a cloakroom service, a bookstore, and even a café. I hope you found my story interesting. See you in my next post, and I wish all travelers a good day.
In this case, the museum is the castle itself. I'm talking about the Castello del Buonconsiglio, an imposing monumental complex that dominates the city of Trento and is a place rich in history, art, and charm.
It is open every day except Monday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The full ticket costs €12, while the reduced one is €8. Admission is free for children under 18 and university students up to 26 years old.
Great images. I think it is very remarkable day to remember.
Thanks for your comment

Greetings dear friends @hotspotitaly,
Many, many years ago, the 9th century structure you showed here is a museum that is now a castle in the museum itself .It was a historic industrial site that is a pre-Roman poison castle . I have little knowledge of nutrition but still heard the story of poisoning in English literature. Thank you for beautifully presenting this castle every picture to this travel community. If I ever had the opportunity to visit Trento, I would definitely visit this place.
You've pretty much detailed everything from tickets to this trip to Steam Price. It will be very useful for anyone who wants to come here
