"Exploring Verona's Timeless Charm: A Visit to the Enchanting Castelvecchio Museum"
Hello friends of this community, After some time, I finally managed to post something here, and I'm very pleased that this community has made significant progress. I always hope it becomes essential for people who want to share their journeys, discoveries, and the beautiful things around our homes. The goal is to introduce these wonders to fellow travelers because, in my opinion, the beauty of a community lies in showcasing one's land to people worldwide. Just these days, I was in Verona for a medical visit, a city that holds great importance for me as it is the capital of my province. After a few years since my last visit, I took the opportunity to explore Castelvecchio, a significant fortress within the city that has been transformed into a museum for many years. If you've followed my posts, you might recall me sharing something about this museum. It's always a pleasure to visit this museum, especially on a weekday when there's less crowd, and during this season, there are fewer tourists. I believe frequenting such cultural places is always beneficial, contributing to our personal growth. As mentioned, within this imposing fortress lies the Castelvecchio Museum, offering visitors an extraordinary collection of medieval, Renaissance, and modern art. The museum houses 622 works, including paintings, sculptures, archaeological artifacts, ancient weapons, and much more. I've shared only a few photos here since I didn't have much time to explore the nearly 30 rooms inside the museum. What I find beautiful about this place is the ability to stroll along the walkways where guards once defended the castle. This experience, which is not always possible in other castles, feels like a journey back in time. For those interested, the full ticket costs €9, with reductions for groups and those over 65. Young adults between 18 and 25 years old pay only two euros. Unfortunately, one drawback of these museums is that many exhibited works are often on loan for exhibitions or in other museums. For me, as I was saying, it has always been an excellent experience. Imagine that I have visited this place almost 5 times in my life, but every time it's always a new experience. These places always convey something new. Nevertheless, it's certainly an experience to have when in the city of Verona, renowned for the love story of Juliet and Romeo. I want to thank you for the time you've dedicated to reading this post and look forward to our next encounter. See you soon!
