SEC-S16W1 | My Memorable Trip In Childhood | Capital Of Indonesia, Jakarta
Hello beloved Traveling Steem friends, it's great that the Traveling Steem community is one of the communities chosen to host this month's Steemit engagement challenge. So I try to take part as one of the participants who will participate, May it be a week full of good luck
Looking at the theme of the first week I feel a little sad, this is because I do not have photos of the past that I can share with all of you. In the past, I have many memories that are immortalized in the photos that I have, but in 2004 when the Tsunami occurred in the province where I live, then the childhood photos that I have were submerged by the Tsunami water that came as high as the feet. But I remember one of the most memorable trips of my childhood because it was the first long trip that my family and I took.
Even without a photo that I can't share, there's nothing wrong with telling a story in the theme of this first week and this is my participation.
Name and description of the place you remember as best trip of your childhood |

As a child living in the middle of a simple family, I lived quite calmly together with my father, mother, and brothers. We never thought to travel far because of the mediocre financial condition, but we were still able to enjoy a vacation in the nearby places of the province where I live.
There was one occasion when my late father had money in his bank account, and he invited us to go to the capital of Indonesia. The distance between Aceh province and the capital city, Jakarta, is 2,307.7 km, or equivalent to 46 hours by road and 2 hours 47 minutes by plane. For the cost of the flight, I do not know for sure at that time, but it can be said to be quite expensive for the size at that time.

Finally with the money that had been saved by my late father at that time, our family and I were able to fly to Jakarta, which is the capital of the country for the first time. It was also the first time my family and I were able to visit the capital's mascot called Monas in Jakarta, my family and I visited the Istiqlal Mosque, Ragunan Zoo and also Lubang Buaya which witnessed the atrocities of the Communist army in 1965.

On that trip, I, my late father, my mother, and my brother were a family who traveled far for the first time to the capital city of Jakarta. While there we stayed at the House of relatives of my mother and father, so it became a perfect childhood trip for me. Moreover, the journey of our family members is very complete, unlike today where I have been living with my late father.
On the 3-day trip there were many places that we visited together with other relatives who lived there, every trip we made I still remember very well. Many photos that we capture, but now not left because of the Tsunami event that ever happened in the area where I live, although not as big as the starting point of the disaster in the city of Banda Aceh.
Anecdotally unique facts you would love to outstanding |

The main focus that I remember when I wanted to go to Jakarta at that time was that I wanted to see firsthand Monas as an icon of the capital, almost all Indonesian residents from outside Jakarta wanted to visit the place. The Monas is a towering National Monument in the form of a monument, the height of this building is 132 meters or 443 feet. At the top of the monument there is pure gold in the form of a fire that weighs 50 kilograms, and the gold is a donation from the province where I live, namely the province of Aceh.

The gold at the top of the monument is a donation from a warrior figure as well as a wealthy businessman from Aceh Province, His name is Teuku Markam. That is why for the people of Aceh it is a form of support for the struggle and independence, which has become the grandest symbol in the capital Jakarta to date.

In the end, a journey that was unimaginable before for several reasons was realized when I was invited directly by my parents at that time. The 3-day trip was the most memorable trip that happened to our family, although over time I was able to visit the place again. Memories of my first time in Jakarta had a special affection for me, the presence of my parents and enjoying the beauty and hustle of the capital at that time, became the most beautiful trip that I will continue to remember to this day.
So many posts of my participation in this first week, I invited @ikwal, @lil.albab, and enamul17 to participate, warm greetings to all of you.

I think losing your childhood photos in a Tsunami must have been really tough for you. It makes the story even more heartfelt.
From what I understand, the long journey details show how much effort you and your family put into reaching Jakarta. It sounds like a big adventure.
I feel like your description of the special moments with your parents in Jakarta makes it a really precious memory. It sounds like a trip full of joy and lasting impressions for you.
More success to you .

Terkadang kita lupa bagaimana menghargai jasa para pahlawan sampai-sampai kita tega menghapus sejarah.
