SEC-S16W6 | Which country you think would've liked to be born? India
With these words, I would like to express my views in this contest for the last week of SEC Season 16 week 6' and would like to invite @paholags @helengutier2 @solperez and @tahispadron for their views.
Which country would you like to be born instead of yours?
India is known for its vibrant culture, with a diverse range of languages, religions, and traditions across different regions.
The country offers a unique cultural experience that many find enriching and rewarding to be a part of. The cost of living in India, especially for house construction, rent, utilities, and food, is significantly lower compared to many countries, including my current country, Australia.
An expert like me, or the nomad I believe I am, can live very comfortably in all major Indian cities as well as in tourist destinations. Maybe cities like Mumbai and Delhi are a bit more expensive, but these two are not the only places where one can live happily. I can say the salary I get in Australia is almost five times more, but the cost of living is also higher.
Why did you choose this country in particular?
India's economic situation is improving compared to other countries, and many Indians may choose to stay in the country in the coming years due to better opportunities.
In summary, the main reasons why some Indians wanted to live outside of India before 2014 were better job prospects, higher salaries, easier immigration policies in other countries, and dissatisfaction with the economic scenario in India. Now things are getting better, so I would be happy to be back in India.
Availability of public transportation as India has a wide variety of public transportation options available, including buses, trains, metro systems, and more, which reduces the need to own a personal vehicle.
What's so special about this country to be considered as your best choice? Gastronomy, culture, religion...
India is a country that adapts itself to every situation with time, India is one of those developing countries which is climbing the ladder of progress the fastest. I am proud to be Indian, part of the oldest civilization, and rich in ancient culture. India has a glorious history, as it was called the golden bird. India has always been a peace loving country and believes in building friendly relations with neighboring countries.
For instance, there is no country in the world surrounded by three oceans in three directions and the Great Himalayas in the fourth. No country in the world has thousands of languages. There is no country in the world where people follow all the religions the world has.
Closeness to family and community, as we in Indian culture believe in young adults continuing to live with their parents even after finishing college or starting a career. This allows people to maintain close relationships with their family and be part of a tightly-knit community.
India is renowned for its flavorful and varied cuisine, with endless options for curries, street food, and regional specialties. However, maybe some might add a few downsides to living in India, such as pollution, language barriers, and a lack of infrastructure in certain areas, but which country is free from all these issues? Overall, the key benefits seem to be the low cost of living, rich cultural experiences, and strong family/community ties.
Maybe there are better job opportunities and higher salaries abroad, but from my personal experience, I can say that there is nothing like one's own country. My country has such a rich cultural heritage and diversity that it will keep me in India at my next birth.
State the differences between that nation and the one you belong to
I am living in this country because my company wants me to work from here but my nation is a synonym for a sovereign state or a country with values. This country is similar to my country India having various states ruled over by different heads of state.
India is a country having diverse ethnic groups, and geographical areas but associated with a government. There are many states in my country, and many languages but our country is sovereign and united with a strong bond with each other. There are differences but everyone has equal rights. We are a democratic country in which everyone has equal rights to express their views.
In summary, the main reasons why some Indians wanted to live outside of India before 2014 were better job prospects, higher salaries, easier immigration policies in other countries, and dissatisfaction with the economic scenario in India. Now things are getting better, so I would be happy to be in India.
Conclusion:
My country, India, is a great nation, and I am proud to be an Indian. Where people of different religions, castes, languages, colors, and looks live together with great love. Where the sweet sound of bells and conch while worshipping in the temple will give you a feeling of purity, Azaan in the mosques, Guruvani in Gurudwars, and prayer of God in the church—all these make my India different from the countries of the whole world.
India has always respected every culture. In India, every festival, like Diwali, Holi, Christmas, and Eid, is celebrated in its way own ways. Despite living under the Mughal and British rulers has always followed its own culture. India has always had a culture of 'Atithi Devo Bhava' (Our guest is God). The Mughals and the British ruled over us for many years, but we Indians also welcomed them with an open heart but there was no change in our culture, values, or sense of belonging.

Hello traveler! 👋🏼 India must undoubtedly be a great place to live. Although if you currently live in Australia the contrast has to be quite big, it's still worth a visit.

Oh yes, India is so colorful and lively. As an Indian, I would say that, we have so many different languages, religions, and customs all over the country. It's like a big celebration of diversity wherever you go.
It's great to hear that things are getting better in India! With more job opportunities and a growing economy, it's no wonder many people want to stay and be part of the progress. It's like seeing our country shine brighter every day.
Oh, Indian food is just amazing, isn't it? We have so many delicious dishes to enjoy, from spicy curries to tasty street food snacks. It's like a flavor explosion in every bite.
That's one of the things I love most about my India – our respect for everyone's traditions. Whether it's Diwali, Holi, Christmas, or Eid, we celebrate each festival with so much joy and respect. It's like a big family coming together to share happiness and love.
All the best.

Saludos.
Thanks a lot. India was always very rich in culture and wealth but our previous governments were not able to handle the country in a proper way after getting the independence in 1947. Now we have a government that knows how to work.
