CONTEST- A trip to Imo State

Hello Steemians. Hope we are having a great day. In this contest i be talking about my last travel trip . I appreciate the host of this contest.

Growing up as a child i always wanted to visit new places, i always had the dream to travel around the world because growing up i was restricted from doing alot of things and i admired my friends who usually travel alot.

Traveling is an exciting adventure to me. The opportunity to see new places and experience other cultures is very beautiful.

My last travel strip was last year december. I travelled to the East for a two in one event. I was to attend a wedding and then a church conference. I left home on the 27th and i travelled with two friends we boarded a cab to the park and each person paid a #1000 for it. When we got to the park we paid #5,000 to Onitsha and from Onitsha to our destination which was Imo state we paid #2,500 for it.

The Journey to Imo state was a very stressful one but the experience opened my eyes to alot of things.

When i got to Imo State, i and my friends stayed with a family over there before arrival plans for accommodation as been made. We stayed with the groom's family and we were treated with love and care. The lady welcomed us into her home and treated us like her child, how we got to stay there was because we know her son and she welcomed us with an open arm with no restriction whatsoever.

We were given their local dishes like "Ohar soup and the rest. Honestly the groom's mother is a good cook. I and my friends got to explore igbo dishes and we loved it. She gave us different Igbo dishes everyday of our stay there. And everyone treated us with love.

The wedding was another experience entirely. The white wedding was held 28th December at the new Owerri community. It was an amazing one at some point i was wishing to be married. It was an emotional moment for the family. We were served at the wedding with all kinds of dishes and i ate to my satisfaction. From the joining together than to the reception i was so excited. The pride and groom were looking so beautiful and handsome. I can tell you that the wedding was a success.

After the wedding we stayed back in the house and did cross over with them. We had a church conference to attend on the 13th of January. We stayed in house from 27th night to 13th January. There was not a day we were not treated well at a point my friend "Esther started adding weight" because of the way we were pampered.

When it was the day for the conference we packed our bags and before we left they gave us money for transport and feeding, we were so happy, We appreciated them and left for the meeting.

The camp meeting experience was another level of experience. We did not arrive on time as we were suppose to hold the conference in a camp we got there late and all the rooms have been booked we had to stay in one of the halls and they provided toilet and bathroom for us.

The meeting i must say was stressful we only had few hours of rest as we were always busy, if we are not having a session then we are praying and if not that my pastor we be having a meeting with us.

All the flesh i gathered vanished but it was worth it as i enjoyed being in the presence of God and had spiritual encounters.

The conference rounded up on the 20th of January and we went home on the 21 first January. I and my friends were grateful for the experience and we looked forward to another time we will be visiting Imo state.
