Often parkers do this because there are various cafes inside the park that have reduced sales if someone brings things from home or outside into the park. This happened to us once so before we went to the park we sat outside and ate and then walked around the park even though we weren't hungry at the time.
This tradition of parks management is very inappropriate but you still tried and managed it in a good way❤️
