SEC S10W3: Las golosinas del mundo / sweets of the world
Hello friends, it is with great pleasure that I participate in this contest, which I find very interesting, especially because I have a sweet tooth. Even on weekends, there must always be a dessert on the table, even if there is nothing to celebrate, probably because I love sweet things so much.
What are the most popular desserts in your country?
This contest is truly interesting because it gives each of us the opportunity to introduce the most important desserts from our own countries to people living all over the world. One of the undoubtedly important desserts in Italy is tiramisu. Its origin is in a town about a hundred kilometers away from my home, and this town is located right on the border between two regions. For several years now, there has been a dispute between these regions, as each one wants to claim the paternity of this dessert. This dessert is straightforward to prepare, and there are several variations, but the original recipe calls for the use of ladyfingers soaked in coffee and a cream made of mascarpone cheese, eggs, and sugar, all topped with a generous dusting of cocoa. As you can see from the photo, it is an irresistibly delicious dessert.
Another very delicious and probably famous dessert worldwide is undoubtedly Sicilian cannoli. This dessert has been exported all over the world and consists of a fried pastry shell with a filling of ricotta cheese. The filling is enhanced with candied fruits and chocolate chips, making these cannoli even more delicious. Numerous variations have also emerged, and if you visit Sicily, you will find various types of cannoli.
Another famous dessert in Italy, which has been exported throughout Europe and has undoubtedly ancient origins, is the strudel. It is a pastry made with flour and eggs and filled with apples, cinnamon, and local nuts. It is primarily a typical dessert of Trentino Alto Adige, a region that borders Austria, and has been influenced by this country for many years. When I enjoy this dessert, I like to accompany it with a good glass of mulled wine, which is something typical of this region.
I have shared with you the three most popular desserts in Italy, in my opinion. Actually, there are several more because fortunately, in my country, we have traditions that go way back, and there are various types of sweets. But these are the most widespread ones, let's say.
Is there a dessert that reminds you of your childhood?
The dessert that reminds me of my childhood is one that I haven't mentioned above, probably because it is not so common in Italy, but it primarily comes from a fairly important city called Mantova, as well as Verona. It's called "sbrisolona," and it's a dessert that my grandmother used to make. It consists of white and yellow flour, sugar, a little butter, and what I find interesting about it is its crumbly texture. Finally, almonds are added. I consider it the dessert of my childhood because my grandmother used to prepare it every Sunday, and it's a simple dessert to make. But I must say that if you spread a little Nutella on top, it becomes even more interesting.
Is it easy to buy candies near your residence? Can you mention its price in your national currency and in Steem?
Honestly, I'm not a candy lover, so I buy very few of them. However, there are several supermarkets that sell candies, and the average price for a 300-gram bag of candies is €1, which is equivalent to 6.25 Steem. But sometimes, there are local festivals where there are booths selling various types of candies at a fairly good price. I intend to make a post sharing photos of these festivals at some point to introduce this tradition.
Buy a candy according to your taste and tell us why you like it and how often you consume it.
I can't buy candies right now because I'm currently undergoing treatment for cavities, and that's another reason why I've decided to consume them less. Sometimes sacrifices have to be made because unfortunately, the cost of treating a cavity in Italy is €70, which is quite expensive.
Thank you for reading this post, and I hope you found it interesting. See you soon.

Hello friend
Enjoying sweet food is fun but you should also know that there are side effects. One of them sweet foods has a great potential to damage teeth.
It's a pity that you can't eat candy. But for the sake of health all that must be put aside.
Thank you for sharing information about sweets that are popular in your area.
Good luck in this week 3 challenge.
Greetings

You have shared the most popular Italian sweet Tiramisu. You shared the post in such a way that it sounds like your sweets were very tempting. I want to try your country's popular sweet tiramisu at least once in my life
it's very good trust me. You definitely like it a lot
Hi, friend,
You have shared an excellent post. I really enjoyed reading the post. How interesting it will be to learn about the desserts and sweets of your country. I also want to enter this contest, but there is a problem with the translation, heheh. Because when interpreted it reads about the most popular candy in your country (me).
Your writing is more improvised, not only about sweets but also desserts, as long as they are sweet. I think so. I wish you success in this challenge.
Good afternoon 🙏
