SEC S4-W3 | A smile to change the world.
INTRODUCTION
Smiling cousins
Hi steemit friends, I am pleased to take part in this amazing contest and in this amazing community. This is my first time here and I intend to participate and contribute to the growth of the community.
WHAT MAKES YOU SMILE?
Smiling occurs when you are extremely happy about a phenomenon that has just happened to you. We often smile when we are happy.
Personally I do smile when I am faced with a difficult situation or when I have failed in doing something. It does not mean I am happy about it. But rather I am consoling myself not to feel too bad about the situation at hand and to give myself the opportunity to think of the way forward.
Little things matter a lot to me and that is why I greet every good will gesture in my life with a smile. If you want to evoke my smile, just bless me just a little and watch the expression on my face. You will see a broad and enchanting smile that will surely put a smile on your face too.
THE IMPORTANCE OF HAPPINESS.
The importance of happiness cannot and should not be underrated. I will like to draw your attention to the fact that the ultimate goal of life is happiness. Everything you do is for your happiness except in situations when you are forced to do something you don’t want to do. For instance, on a daily basis, we go to work all in a bit to put food on our various tables and once this is done, the entire family will be happy.
Most women who nag do so because they are hungry and need something which their husbands are unable to provide for them. Some nag naturally even when they have everything they need. Some of the importance attributed to happiness includes;
It lowers our stress hormones,
It helps to ease anxiety and depression,
It improves our immune systems,
It promotes a healthy lifestyle.
THE HAPPIEST MOMENT OF MY CHILDHOOD.
If I tell you my childhood was full of enjoyment and all the good things in life, I will be lying. I had a hard time growing up as a kid.
It does not mean all my childhood was full of agony. I had moments in which I celebrated. I was an intelligent kid back then.
I attend catholic school in my village and there was this religious certificate exam that those in their final year used to take before graduation. It was a dreaded exam as almost everyone who took part in it failed. It became greatest fear. When I got to the final year in the primary school, I was set to take these exams with about 100 other pupils. Then I did not know what it means to come back from school and open my books to read. Once is was back, I will only pick my books from where ever they were and head off for school.
When the time for these exams came, I was nervous just like others because of the information we received from those who took it before me. My grandfather promised me a smart phone if I made it in the exams. This was motivation and I braced up and sat for the exams. When I opened the exam paper, I recognized almost all the questions on the question booklet and answered them.
It was just a single paper of about 100mcqs questions. We handed our papers in and parted ways. School program continued. While we were in class one hot afternoon our head master came by and hinted that the exams results were out and that only two out of a hundred made it. It was never a problem to me because I knew what I wrote.
A grand ceremony was organized in which the parish priest and other church notables were to be present to hand in the certificates of the exam themselves. All our parents were invited for the ceremony. The shock was too much.
On this fateful day, everyone was gathered in the biggest hall we had in school back then. The vicar general for the Bamenda arch diocese was to be present but no one knew about it. My grandfather was present too and he was my greatest motivation. The parish priest came in but did not commence with mass as usual. We waited for another 30 minutes when a convoy from Bamenda town came in.
the vicar general came in and his entourage and started mass at once. The handing in of certificate was to be the last item. When it was time for the proclamation of results, the shocking news of just two pupils making it shocked the whole hall as everyone was wondering who these pupils were. These pupils had 95/100 and 50/100 hundred respectively.
By this time I was fast asleep on my grandfather’s laps. He made me wake up from sleep. My name was the first name on the list and I was the overall first in the division with 95/100 and the next person had just 50/100. I was hailed by the church and vicar general himself handed my certificate to me by himself and encouraged others to be like me. My grandfather was the happiest man on the planet earth. The ambiance he had among his peers was something else. A feast was hosted to commemorate the exam results. It meant nothing to me because while they were busy feasting, I was on the field playing football. When I came back in the evening looking very dirty I was handed my brand new phone. Imagine an 8year old kid with a phone in my community back then. This was my happiest childhood moment.
Happiest Moment Currently.
Some weeks back, I went for political gathering of my political party at Ayaba hotel, I was just a floor member then. I was the happiest person on the said date because I was elected federation secretary general. You might not understand what it means but it means a lot to me.
IF HAPPINESS WAS A COLOR, WITH WHICH COLOR WILL YOU RELATE IT TO?

Blue is one of the most used colors on the planet earth and it is my favorite color. The happiness I get when I use or see the blue color cannot be expressed. A blue background and a blue sky are all amazing to me.

Well articulated bro
Of course we come to this life to be happy, that should be the priority of each person. Happiness helps us to see ourselves and feel good, in addition to the multiple benefits it brings to our body.
What a beautiful moment of your childhood you tell us, your grandfather must have felt very proud that among so many children you had achieved it and with the best score. Receiving the smartphone must have been a very happy moment for you.
The position you obtained in the political party is good, if it is important to you, then satisfaction should fill you with happiness.
Greetings and blessings.
Thanks for sharing your opinion Dearest.
