SEC S10W2: How do you plan to do your home shopping?
Steem greetings cominadad friends and welcome to my blog as I share my first entry post to the season 10 week 2 engagement challenge. It has been a while since I participated in the challenge because I was on vacation. Though still on vacation but had to squeeze out time to create this article about shopping.
Shopping is one of my favorite activities I do even when I feel exhausted from other activities. To further expatiate on the topic for the week, kindly read through the paragraphs below.
Who is responsible for doing the shopping in your home?
I am 100% responsible for shopping in my home today ranging from household equipment to groceries, etc. When I was not yet married, my elder sister was responsible for all my shopping. At times I accompanied her just to learn from her bargaining power in the local markets.
When I got married, I realized that my husband does not like shopping because he is afraid of being cheated on. Most often when he purchases something, I noticed that, and we both decided that I do the shopping.
How often do you shop at home?
I can say, I shop frequently due to my kids. In a week, I can shop like 2 times depending on the necessity of some things highly needed at home.
Notwithstanding, I prefer shopping on weekends because I will be free to spend enough time sorting all that I needed for my family. During weekends, especially at our local food market, is a good time for you to buy fresh, and good food items from farmers.
With other items apart from food items, I can shop within the week, anytime I am chanced to do it.
What are the products that CANNOT BE MISSING in your home? Mention any of them (personal hygiene, cleaning, food, or sweets
My hair shampoo and hair conditioner.
The first item that cannot be missing in my home is my hair products. My daughter and I do plait our hair and taking her to the saloon frequently to wash her hair is strenuous. I do not frequently have time to go to the hairdresser's shop to wash my hair. I always buy shampoo and hair conditioner to wash our hair.
The second will be my kid's snacks. At times I go to the bakery to shop for my kid's snacks and at times, I prepare them myself but still have to go to the market to purchase the ingredient
At the shop to buy my smart, android TV.
Another item that cannot be missing from my home is my laptop or tv set. These are the things that I can say are both entertaining and I used them for work purposes. Recently, I purchase a new laptop and smart tv because my laptop got bad and my old tv set was not a smart screen.
The last but not the least item will be food and dresses. I and my family cannot do without food and we also need to clothe ourselves. Most often I go to the market to shop for food or dresses for my kids or myself.
Do you shop in a specific place or do you walk through several places before shopping?
The Society we are in does not permit someone to shop in a specific place because sellers will exploit you. At times, I walk across different shops just to know the right price. At times, a seller discovers it is your first time in his or her shop, and will decide to price her goods at a higher price as compared to the market price.
At times, your appearance in a particular shop, makes shopkeepers to skyrocketing prices.
To come to a compromise, I prefer moving across different shops to get their prices, compare and purchase at the lowest costs.
How much do you spend on average each time you go shopping? (indicate the price in your currency and the equivalent in Steem)
The average amount I used for shopping depends on the items I am shopping for the day. With food items, I always prefer to buy them in bulk. I think it is less expensive when I buy food items in bulk. Averagely, I spend about 60,000 FCFA (approximately 630 Steem at the current market price).
For dresses and electronics equipment, I do not shop them frequently. This is done based on the need. Of recent, I bought a new SMART TV, and my laptop because it was like a working instrument for me. My laptop cost 140,000FCFA (approximately 1470 Steem at the current market rate) and my tv set cost 515,000FCFA, approximately 5408 Steem at the current market rate)

I like that your husband gave you the lead in the shopping part. Usually women have more bargaining power when it comes to shopping. This is nice as you mentioned me as your friend I’m so touched. Woooo children can make you go on shopping every now and then because of their needs. Weekend are the best time for shopping, buying in bulk save costs and people don't really know about it. It will make you save more. Thank you dear for the invite

Cuando tenemos la responsabilidad que somos amas de casas no nos queda de otra que hacer las compras ya que muchas veces nuestros esposos no saben hacer bien este trabajo o no administran bien el dinero las mujeres somos la que sabemos administrar bien y qué necesita nuestra cocina compraremos un solo sitio difícil ya que hay que comparar los precios para no le quiten a uno el dinero eso como que pasa en todas partes
