Hello everyone! Today we are going to talk about a topic that I bet many of us are interested in: the trend of this year 2021. Every year, makeup tries to innovate and surprise us with changes based on what celebrities use, the most important media, etc. Here I will describe for you the steps to get an updated makeup to today's trend, which is characterized by wanting to find a much more natural, healthy and juicy look for our face. Read on to learn more!

For this post, as example of what I mean, I realized this makeup:

ON-TREND MAKEUP 2021

1. SKINCARE

First of all, the most important thing is to resalt that for this 2021 we all know the importance of taking care of our skins properly, so 50% of this trend is focused on skincare, which has a weight as fundamental as the makeup products themselves in this trend. It is very important to find the personal care products that suit our skin so that, in addition to looking beautiful, we also take care of the health of our face. Therefore, before any makeup we put on your skin, clean your face and moisturize it with the cream that best suits you. This will achieve a much juicier and healthier skin finish.

2. EYEBROWS AND EYES

• NATURAL EYEBROWS: the ideal in 2021 is to comb our natural eyebrows upwards and fix them with a clear gel; or, there is also a very popular trend nowadays, which is based on combing our eyebrows and fixing them with a clear soap that basically does the job of a fixing gel. The important thing is to forget that square brow finish and find a much more organic and natural result.

• FOXY EYES: the idea of wanting to make our eyes bigger and rounder is over; now, the trend is to achieve feline, small and almond-shaped eyes through dark matte shadows or eyeliner. In my case, I used the structure of a classic smokey but I lengthened it outwards and then cut it with a makeup remover towel to give the effect of it lengthening horizontally towards the temples. This can also be paired with a cat eyeliner, which makes the eye look much more almond-shaped.

3. NATURAL AND MOISTURIZED SKIN

• MOISTURIZING PRIMER: Use a moisturizing primer that adds juiciness to the face before foundation instead of a pore-sealing primer that will mistreat your skin. This way, you'll look fresh and natural.

• LITTLE BASE: Apply a limited amount of a foundation, preferably medium to low coverage, which only evens out your skin tone but still shows your pores and the nature of your skin.

• LITTLE CONCEALER: concealer used to be used by bringing it down to the nose, but now it is only used on the pure under-eye circles and the highest point of the cheek to give the illusion of a much slimmer face and to continue the illusion of foxy eyes.

• USE A BLENDING SPONGE INSTEAD OF A BRUSH: the sponge absorbs excess product and leaves a much more natural and organic finish, so I recommend dampening it and patiently dabbing on cream products to achieve an even, non-charged finish.

• NO MORE DIGGING WITH POWDERS: it is no longer necessary to do an exaggerated amount of baking that gives that fake and worked texture to the face, but simply seal with the powder of your choice all the cream work, either loose or compact, in small amounts using a loose brush not so dense.

• MIDDLE WITH CONTOUR: to achieve the natural, juicy finish on the skin, forget that huge amount of gray contouring to create a thinner look; now, simply apply the necessary amount of a warm-colored bronzer in a subtle way that looks like an organic tan.

• USE BLUSH WITH BRIGHTNESS: Right at that middle point where the highlight and contour cross, use a blush with shimmer and blend it well to create a middle ground between the two. You can really let it flow, as this step adds that sweet, warm tone to your skin that this trend is all about.

• DO NOT USE HIGHLIGHTER: this year highlighter lost a lot of prominence, since this trend does not use it at all, or in very little quantity. I limited myself to put a minimum amount on the nose and little else.

4. LIPS

For the lips, forget heavy colors and matte lipsticks. This trend promotes the use of gloss with glitters to create a much juicier and sweeter look of the lips, rather than changing their shape or something similar. So don't forget to have a gloss in your kit to be on trend.
