Greetings everyone.

Before I start with the main content of this post I would like to express my sincere gratitude to this community in general and some other users. It has been a wonderful time after publishing my one year anniversary content in this prestigious community.

I want to use this opportunity to say a very big thanks to each and everyone of this great community members for the support we give each other. My best regards goes to @ngoenyi and @patjewell for their hard work and always being there for me.

Morning Session

Today, when I woke up in the morning I performed my morning prayers, swept around the compound, prepared breakfast and took my bath. After I was done bathing, I served myself some breakfast and served my siblings as well. I didn’t have much to do today because it was weekends. My mom had an occasion to attend so I was asked to go to the market today. But because it is weekends there is no need of going early.

So I made some arrangements, completed some errands that my senior brother task me to do and then prepare for market. On my way going to the market I stopped by a friend’s place to deliver some stuff to her. I made her snap me some pictures which I will be posting here. After there, I then proceeded to the market. I almost got to market at 9:00 am. I opened our store and arranged everything in order for the day to get going.

The market today was not as usual, don’t know whether because it is weekends, though it was not that bad. I was able to sell as much as I can. Later part in the day around 1:44 pm, I had a call from my mother, she told me not to forget about our food stuff. Most of our food stuff is finished and she asked me to remove money from the sale I made today and buy them.

By then the sun was still scotching so I decided to go and buy them when the heat is gone. It was 3:00 in the afternoon and I left the store and asked one of our neighboring stores to look over our things so that I will buy the food stuff and come. I now went to the part of the market where they sell all caliber of food stuffs. I bought variety of vegetables including cabbage 🥬, cucumber 🥒, onions 🧅, pepper 🌶, and tomatoes 🍅.

After buying the vegetables, I again move further and bought some tomato paste, groundnut oil, dried fish and some species used in preparing stew. I also roam around the market and bought some things that we need in the house. I spent like an hour or two in buying the ingredients and food stuffs. I was to forget about buying some fruits which we will be using to break our fast. I got to the woman I always buy our fruits from but she was not having all the fruits only mangoes that was there. So I bought the mangoes and quickly rushed back to the store and started packing.

I finished packing and went to the roadside to get an “okada” man to come and pick me to the house. Usually, during weekends we close early from the market because there is no pressure on the market. When I was about going to get the “okada” man, luckily on my way my brother came to the market to see my mom but I told him she was not around and he picked me along to the house with his motorbike.

I got home, took my bath and started making arrangements on what we will be eating tonight. But before then, I restored the food stuffs I bought into the kitchen and kept the vegetables into the fridge. I then performed the prayers I missed when I was at the market and started with the cooking after that. That was how my day was all about. Hope you enjoyed reading it.
