This contest is organised by Steem Women Club. The topic hopes to rate the value of steem in each country and how far it has helped steemians.

What can you buy and do with 50 steem?

As at the time of writing this post, 1 steem is about $1.2 which means 50 steem will be $60.
I can use half of the money to buy foodstuff. Get a good handbag that i can take out anytime i have occasion and probably a nice blouse. The remaining money can be used for subscribing on my phone.

Describe the importance of steem in your country

I have been blogging on steemit for about 3 years now and i can say one or two things about steem. In my country, steem has been one of the ways of generating income for some people. Some people participate in contest so as to earn liquid steem which will in turn be swapped with money. Other steemians post on their blog expecting upvote from whales or should i say people with high steem power. All steem gathered either by upvote or contest is swapped with cash, traded or powered up depending on each person's priority.

The importance of steem cannot be overlooked especially during the lockdown when no one is allowed to go out of their homes. Most people engage in one or two things online which steem is part of it. It actually brought food to the table of many people.

Is earning enough on this platform for you?

I would say no because most communities i post in do not appreciate my work lately. The earning i receive recently on steemit is very low/negligible despite posting quality contents. If our work is appreciated as steemians by upvoting the post, no matter how little the earning might be i will be contented with it. Imagine having less than $0.1 on a quality post you posted on steemit. That's the case of my account on steemit.

Though, steemit has helped beyond financial reasoning. I have been able to improve on my writing skills since i joined this platform. And besides, i have been able to learn a lot from this platform.

Do you make a profit by investing?

Actually, i don't invest in steem but will love to buy steem and power up so as to appreciate good content creators by upvoting their post.

Do you use it for your daily expenses?

Yes, i use steem for my daily expenses because we don't find it easy in this part of the world. Nigeria is a country where we engage in thousands of things to make a living.
