STEEM WOMEN CLUB || "Chain of Goodness" Feeding the Neigborhood - 01

It has been very overwhelming being able to receive so much support from this platform as a whole. As our way of gratitude, with the littlest we have, we also want to share what we just received from this platform.

With the collaborative effort of my aunt, mother, brother, and cousins @heartmich, @mira15, @cinderela, and @marzyoung22, we were able to successfully organize a small and simple #actofkindness.

We prepared sandwiches and juice for the kids.

We also have a simple token ready for them.

We bought 7 loaves of bread, 2 jars of margarine spread, 2 packs of powdered juice 10 blocks of ice, and plastic as containers. It was my cousin @heartmich and my aunt, her mother, who bought everything we need.

With all the things happening to the world now, helping others and sharing your blessing is the best thing we can do for people around us. I have been reading posts about the #chainofgoodness event organized by people from different places and from different walks of life. It touches my heart knowing that because of this platform, people are gathered for one purpose and that is to help others. #chainofgoodness event was just timely created.

The pandemic has severely impacted the lives of many people. People were laid off from their jobs, lost their loved ones, and struggled every day to survive. We've seen it in tv reports, on social media, and even in newspapers how people from all walks of life, people who have the capacity to help, have come together for one purpose, to extend help and share their goodness to anyone who needs it.

Those faces of excitement and longing to already receive the simple gifts from us melts my heart. Not everyone in our neighborhood gets to have food like this. Who knows, this may be just simple and small for us but is already a big blessing for them. How we wish we could still do more for them.

These smiles on their faces will become our motivation and inspiration to strive harder so we could share more. The grateful faces will also teach us to be grateful in everything, may it be less or more.

I couldn’t be more grateful to you @steemwomenclub, @cryptokannon, and the rest of the team for the unwavering support. This platform has enabled us to be of help to people even in our simplest way. It touches my heart hearing the "Thank you!" of the kids even with the simple gifts we have for them.

I hope and pray that Steemit will continue as we can still do more for people who need our help. We can still lend a hand to more people and families from around the globe. We can still do greater things for each other and for everyone around us.
