Emerald the beautiful baker.

I started baking right from my university days, prior to that time,I had paid to learn from a baker around my street during my 100 level first semester break.
I bake for my birthdays and that of my friends.

I baked this cake for a close friends birthday .

My cakes were really not good enough compared to the ones I see online,I can't deny the fact that I love baking cakes but anytime I do this,I end up feeling all bad and sad as I wasn't giving my best.

Some of my works.

My friends and clients some times ask why my cakes weren't looking so beautiful like the ones they see on social media.

Some cakes I made that wasn't all that good since I was not a professional baker.

Of a truth I couldn't give an answer to their sincere questions.
But as its fondly believed,There is always an Answer some where,You probably haven't searched enough to get it and this was indeed my own experience.
My NYSC journey was the beginning of my answer.

This was me during my service year.

I was posted to Nasarawa state, one of the Northern state for my National Youth service and that was where I met an Outstanding baker who taught me the rudiments of a baking and introduced me to various kinds of recipes.

some of my works now.

I cannot over emphasize the importance of Self development,I paid a whooping amount of money for all the trainings I had in lafia,Nasarawa and jos, plateau state but the investments has started paying back in big blessings.

I have more willing customers and students now and my greatest joy is that I can satisfy their cravings.
I am not going to stop learning because I see that there are great results in improving oneself.

Thanks for reading my post steemians.

Wow! Growth!
You've really grown, you cakes are looking really nice now. I served in Nasarawa State also, Akwanga to be precise and I can imagine going to jos from lafia to learn a skill, you must be really determined. Well done work!

Nice cakes @peculiarem, you are indeed peculiar with your talent. I feel like eating those cakes from my laptop right now.

I love one particular aspect of you which is the ability to learn when you see challenges. That's so impressive. It is very important you know what you want and work for it. Imagine if you didn't put in efforts to perfect your baking skills? You will still have a limitation in your products and your customers will always complain and won't be satisfied. Keep on pushing my dear, never let any challenge take you away from your dreams. If you see something you want just go for it with all energy and determination. Thanks for sharing your work with us
