The Almighty and I sit under a tree.

All around us the world is paved with green grass and flowers are blossoming everywhere.

I stretch, give a big yawn and nestle with my head onto the green grass ready for that afternoon sleep.

“My child I am dead tired. I need a rest”. The Almighty says with a big shrug of His shoulders. “How I wish I can put my head down like you and sleep. I need a day off”.

“But you can Father. All you need to do is to close your eyes and fall asleep. As easy as 1… 2... 3.” I say with a big grin on my face.

“If only it was that easy. Who will answer all the prayers? Who will forgive those who have sin? Who will comfort those who are crying? Who will ease pain?” He says with a tearful voice.

Gosh! What a job He has. It never occurred to me that He must do all those things at the same time.

“If I take a day off and I give you all my power will you take it?”

“Me? No ways! I don’t want to be you”. I say while I look at him all shocked.

“Okay, let me rephrase it. If I take a day off and I grant you three wishes to be fulfilled what will they be?” He says while looking all hopeful at me.

I stretch my legs out, fold my arms under my head and look up at the ever changing clouds. I can see a dog. I can see candyfloss. Umh...
Three wishes that will be fulfilled. Now that will make my life so much easier for that one day. Maybe just maybe I should rethink this carefully.

“What is the catch?” I ask the Almighty looking at Him where he was sitting with his back against the tree.

“This sounds too good to be true. There must be a catch. Are you going to pay me for taking your turn?”

“Payment there will not be my dear child”. He says with a chuckle. “Three good wishes which will make the day so much easier for you that is all I can offer you. But…”

Yah… yah... yah. That forever BUT.

“You cannot make a wish which will benefit you in person. Once you have made the wish it cannot be taken back and lastly, the wish cannot be used for any unfavorable or disadvantageous wish nor inclination.”

I groan and roll my eyes. “I knew it was too good to be true. Let me think about it”. I answer him.

I close my eyes and start to think.

Now, what will be the most common problem be the Almighty sits with on a daily basis. Umh…

I am sure one of them must be hunger. Yes, that is a good one. If I can eliminate the hunger of the world it will solve so many other problems. People with have the energy to work.
They will not fight anymore because there is food to eat. Children won’t cry because they are hungry and they will be able to go to school. The economy of counties will improve.

Wow! That’s a good one, a starvation free world!

To visit Mars. Nah, that is a stupid one. It will take way too long to get there and then I must still come back. Anyway, what will I do there?

I got it! Peace of mind!
Imagine how the world will be if we are all at peach with our minds. There will not only be peace in ourselves, our heart but peace in our homes, peace in the world. People will feel safe. They will feel protected and they will be happy with what they’ve got. There will be no more fighting.
Yes! This one will for sure make my day easier.

One more wish and I better make this one also good. I wonder if I can put two into one wish. Happy women and happy children.
They say that if you can keep a women happy you can taste victory. As for kids, they are so close to my heart and they deserve to be happy. I would like for them get up happy in the morning and go to sleep happy. A happy childhood for all the children.

Yip, that is it. My third wish is for happy women and children.

I open my one eye and look at the Almighty where he sits with His eyes close.

“You are asleep”! I laugh at him.

“No, I am not. I am just resting my eyes as I am tired.”

I sit up and look at him.

“I got my three wishes. I would like eliminate world hunger, I would like for people to have a peace of mind and I would like for women and children to be happy at all times.” I told him proudly.

The Almighty look at me, cross His arm and say in a deep voice.

“Those are three great wishes my child. Three wishes which will eliminate a lot of the world’s problems. Thank you for sharing them with me. Unfortunately I have decide that I no longer need a rest. The afternoon I had with you was more than sufficient for me.”

Slowly he gets up and wave me goodbye as He walks away.

Oh, well, I have tried. Time to take that afternoon nap.
