THE DIARY GAME UNENDING SEASON. OUR COOKIES WEEKEND 😁😁

INTRODUCTION

Our Diary Game for Saturday 25th September, 2021.

I greet you all the Mummies and amazing women of Steemit. I have actually been absent for a while because of some pressing issues. I trust we’re all doing well and staying fit too.
It’s me @nneoma08 and my squad reporting from our home and kitchen.

Okay! Dearest Diary, we had a very sweet and creative experience yesterday.

My weekend was dedicated to my boys and their cravings 😉. My little me didn’t have our time. She was busy with her numbers and letters sounds animated videos. She would just dash in and out of the kitchen.

There has been this clamoring for cookies 🍪 in my home for some time now and I have been making promises that I never fulfilled because of my busy schedules and I had kept apologizing until no breathing space was left for me. Am sorry 😐

Making their snacks is not the issue for me because I set time for myself and accomplish the process duly but teaching them to make the snacks by themselves would mean that I would barely have time for some other things. Mummies in the house.....am I communicating?😁😁.

Well, I had to fulfill my own part of the deal yesterday by taking them through the cookie making journey.

Here’s how it went;

We used the following ingredients;

• 1/2 cup of Icing Sugar.

• 2 cups of All purpose Flour.
  

• 1 spoon 🥄 of Butterscotch flavor.

• 1 egg 🥚.
  

• 3 spoons 🥄 of butter.
  

• 2 sachets of peak milk 🥛.
  

Then, we went ahead with the procedures by;

• Creaming the butter and icing sugar a fluffy State.
  

• Then, we added the egg and mixed properly before adding our vanilla flavor.
  
  It was really fun for them taking turns with the mixing and shouting at this point “No way!.....it smells like cake 🎂 but it’s cookies 🍪 we want, Mummy”. 😀😀😀

• We proceeded to shift the flour and peak milk powder together before adding into our batter.
  

I then helped them to mix properly and wrapped in a clingfilm and placed in the fridge to rest for about twenty minutes.

Hmmmmm.....we couldn’t bake after 20 minutes because I had to attend to other chores and it was late before I finished and they were off to bed 🛌 Shame🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

• Fast forwards to the next day been Sunday, we had fun rolling and cutting the dough into various shapes and sizes.

We had to climb our stools to get a better view and reach out to cut the cookies dough.🤩🤩

When they were done cutting and making the cookies dots with fork, I helped them bake the cookies 🍪 in my local oven and behold our Yummy 😋 and de-li-ci-ous.

It ended with “Thank you Mummy for teaching us how to make cookies, you’re the best Mummy in the whole world 🌎😳😳.
We love you so much”.🥰🥰🥰🥰

It’s the most beautiful feeling.
