After reading your post, it makes me realize that he is not only the most important person for you, but keeping in mind the qualities he possess, he is the most important person for his kids, for his parents and as you said, your best friend too.

I can't relate to a marital bond for now, but yes, my father is a great person too and he is also my best friend in our family. The sacrifices that he has made, i can't expect anyone to do that for us.
