7 Minutes Craft | Wall Photo Decor from Old Broken Portrait - (With Video)
Do you have this attitude that you randomly wanna see all your great photos most of the time?
If yes, this is a perfect idea for you. You don't need to open an album to make it happen. By just one stare, you'll see them all! It is very refreshing remembering great memories through your pictures.
Hello ladies! Today, as I checked my room and saw this broken portrait that I bought about 3 years ago. The color is faded and the back part of it has a hole. It is totally messed up because of changing the position several times. I was about to put it in trash and then an idea came up. If you have old picture frames or portraits, you can recycle them by your creative mind and artistic hands.
Materials;
Old picture frame or Old portrait
Glue stick
Yarn or any tie
Printed photo for background
Your pictures(Wallet size)
Scissor
Fairy light
Separate the picture, frame and the back side of the broken portrait so you can check where are the parts that you need to re-assemble.
In my case, the back photo has a hole in it so to cover up I just used a packaging tape. I covered it back and front so it'll harden a bit.
The frame itself is also broken so to connect it, I used the glue stick. Just be careful not to burn it. After re-connecting all the end parts, clean it by wipes or any damp cloth to remove all the old marks in it.
After that, put back the old photo but turn the back side of it on the front side. Just like this photo. We will not be using the old picture since we are restoring it into your own photos.
You may choose the color or design you want as your background. For me, I decided to make it the galaxy. I love the idea of stars in the middle of the night so yeah. I printed out full in a photo paper, just search in google guys.
When you got the design you want, put the printed background in the frame. Use double sided tape to it'll be floating a bit. Believe me, it gives a good illusion!
Now use the yarn to point where you want to put your pictures. You may use glue stick or double sided tape since wallet size photos are light materials. This is how it looks like! I also put fairy lights in it for extra magical illusion. It serves a my lamp shade at night.
Recycling turns things into other things. Which is like magic.
For the whole process, you may check this video I made for you! ^___^
