Make Kleepon Cake

Incidentally today is the weekend, when I'm at home, then I remember that there is still glutinous rice flour left, and I want to eat klepon cake. So I'm going to make a klepon cake. The other ingredients also happen to be all at home, and the klepon cake itself doesn't take long to make. It only takes 30 minutes. Klepon is a traditional Indonesian cake, which all people can eat, both children and adults, all like it.

Materials that need to be prepared:

  • 200 grams of white glutinous rice flour
  • 150 ml of warm water
  • 5 pandan leaves (mashed with a little water) for coloring
  • 80 grams of brown sugar, mashed for stuffing
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 coconut (grated first)

How to make Klepon Cake:

  1. Heat the water to boil the klepon cake on medium heat (wait for it to boil)
  2. Mix the glutinous rice flour, salt, pandan leaf water, mix well, then add the warm water little by little and stir until the dough is smooth.
  3. Take a little dough, round shape then make a hole in the middle, add brown sugar and shape the dough back into a round.
  4. Put the dough that has been shaped into the boiling water, if the dough has floated it means the cake is cooked
  5. Remove the cooked cake, drain, and roll into the grated coconut. Wait a while to cool.

After it cools down, the klepon cake is ready to be served and eaten with the family.
