NEW YAM IS IN SEASON
After a long time of eating dry and expensive yam the new yam is out and all over the market.
Guess what I decided to make yam and egg sauce so the whole family can enjoy it.
In Igbo land there's this long standing tradition that the arrival of new yam must be celebrated and it's called Iri ji festival or new yam festival.
Unlike the phobia of eating new yam because it has not set this one I bought from a road side dealer for #1500 turned out very nice and I really enjoyed it.
Have you had new yam this season?
I wouldn't still make it to eat because I'm not at the village and I find yours interesting....that means I have to get one at the market as you did to give it a try.......
