Hello friends of SteemWomen's Club this is my entry for the contest, Promote your favorite city.
We all dream of that city we want to go to, I want to travel to several but the first on my list is Vancouver, a beautiful city that perfectly combines nature with architecture, besides being very safe and clean. With beautiful landscapes, my love for this city began when I saw a documentary, of its beginnings as immigrants arrived attracted by the gold, also watching the program vivala or vendala Vancouver. In these programs I have seen the beautiful city surrounded by mountains.
Characteristics of your favorite city
- It is a beautiful city surrounded by nature, great mountains and besides having a wide coastline with beautiful beaches. And with a great conscience about the environment.

It is one of the cleanest and safest cities in the world.
It is multicultural, as it converges different ethnicities, making its culture diverse.
It also has one of the warmest climates in Canada.

The biggest celebration is Christmas, with beautiful decorations where everyone shares.
Polar Bear Swim, this celebration is held on New Year's Day where everyone dives into the cold waters of the beach.
Chinese New Year is also celebrated as there is a large Chinese community.
Vancouver has great festivals such as:
International Dance Festival.
Vancouver International Wine Festival.
International Children's Festival
Dragon Boat Festival, a very particular event in which dragon-shaped rowing boats are raced.
Vancouver International Jazz Festival, which brings together the most renowned artists from around the world and the city.
Celebration of Light. The world's largest fireworks festival.

Festivals for all tastes, a city where it is impossible to get bored, makes it very majestic.
Your favorite food
In this case I will put my favorite food, which is Pasta in all its presentations, especially with a good bolognese sauce and meatballs.
Typical Vancouver food:
Most of the coastal cities, always offer us seafood, fish of great quality and freshness, Vancouver is no exception this city has a wide variety of seafood dishes. One of its star dishes is Salmon glazed with maple syrup, as it is the most popular fish in the area, with which many dishes are made.
The Artic char is a fish similar to salmon, which is prepared roasted sautéed, among others.
We can also find:
Smoked meat sandwich: It is a bread stuffed with smoked meat.
Pate chinois : A dish composed of mashed potatoes, ground meat, corn, peppers and onions. And it is very similar to a meat pie. I have tried this recipe and it is very tasty.
Among the desserts we find:
Butter cake.
Trempettes: Similar to pancakes.
A beautiful city that has become a dream for me that I hope to fulfill to be able to travel and visit it in person with my family.

Hola amigas de SteemWomen's Club esta es mi participación para el concurso, Promueve tu ciudad favorita
Todas soñamos con esa ciudad a la que queremos ir, yo quiero viajar a varias pero la primera en mi lista es Vancouver, una hermosa ciudad que combina perfectamente la naturaleza con la arquitectura,ademas de ser muy segura y limpia. Con hermosos paisajes, mi amor hacia esta ciudad comenzó cuando vi un documental, de sus inicios como llegaron los inmigrantes atraídos por el oro, también viendo el programa vivala o vendala Vancouver. En estos programas e visto la bella ciudad rodeada por montañas.
Características de tu ciudad favorita
- Es una bella ciudad rodeada de naturaleza, grandes montañas y ademas de tener una amplia costa con hermosa playas. Y con gran conciencia sobre el medio ambiente.

Es una de las ciudades mas limpias y seguras del mundo.
Es multicultural, ya que en ella converge distintas etnias, haciendo su cultura diversa.
Ademas de tener uno de los climas mas cálidos de Canadá.

Sus cultos, vestimenta y fiestas
La celebración mas grande es la Navidad, con hermosas decoraciones donde todos comparten.
Polar Bear Swim, esta celebración se hace en el año nuevo donde todos se sumergen en las frías aguas, de la playa.
También se celebra el Año Nuevo Chino ya que hay una gran comunidad china.
Vancouver cuenta con grandes festivales como:
- Festival Internacional de Baile.
Festival Internacional de Vino de Vancouver.
Festival Internacional para los Niños
Festival del Barco del Dragón, un evento muy particular en el que se realizan carreras de barcos de remo con formas de dragón.
Festival Internacional de Jazz de Vancouver, donde se reúnen los artistas con más renombre de todas partes del mundo y de la ciudad.

- Festival Internacional Alternativo de Vancouver este se celebra los primeros 10 días del mes de septiembre los lugares de la ciudad se llenan de música, teatro y desfiles.
Festivales para todos los gustos, una ciudad en la que es imposible aburrirse, la hace muy majestuosa.
Su comida favorita
En este caso pondré mi comida favorita, que es La Pasta en todas sus presentaciones, en especial con una buena salsa bolognesa y albondigas.
Comidas típicas de vancouver:
La mayorías de las ciudades costeras, siempre nos ofrecen mariscos, peces de gran calidad y frescura, Vancouver no es la excepción esta ciudad tiene una gran variedad de platillos marinos. Uno de sus plato estrella es Salmón glaseado con sirope de maple, por ser el pescado que mas se peca en la zona, con el se hace muchísimos platillos.
El Artic char es un pescado parecido al salmón, que se prepara asado salteado, entre otros.
También podemos encontrar:
Smoked meat sandwich: Es un pan relleno con carne ahumada.
Pate chinois : Un plato compuesto por puré de papas, la carne molida, maíz, pimentones y cebollas. Y es muy parecido un pastel de carne. He probado esta receta y es muy sabrosa.
Entre los postres encontramos:
Tarta de mantequilla.
Trempettes: Parecido a las panquecas.
Una hermosa ciudad que se ha convertido en un sueño para mi que espero cumplir poder viajar y conocerla en personalmente con mi familia.
