Hello girls, I hope you are all very well, this is my entry to the contest held in our community of women about recycling.

I would like to invite my mother @kenyaescalonag to participate, who is also a very creative woman, that is why I say that I am like that, thanks to my mother.

This time I wanted to make a beautiful hanging vase with damaged light bulbs and flowers made with recycled paper, I hope you like it and it is to your liking, I did it with a lot of love and dedication.

MATERIALS

  • 2 bulbs damaged
  • Pliers
  • Cotton
  • Alcohol
  • Hot silicone
  • Recycled paper
  • Scissors
  • Rule
  • Pencil

STEP BY STEP FOR THE BULB

1.- Remove the cap from the light bulb (central piece of black color), to achieve this we use the pliers.

2.- When the cap has been removed, with the pliers we will tap a few times in order to break that small piece of glass that holds the filaments.
NOTE: DO IT VERY CAREFULLY NOT TO BREAK THE BULB.

After having broken all the pieces, we proceed to remove everything inside the bulb, placing it downwards we will be able to remove everything.

3.- Now we proceed to clean our light bulb, with cotton and a little alcohol we clean the inside and outside very well, so that it is very clean.

And now that the bulbS are ready we proceed with the flowers.

STEP BY STEP FOR RECYCLED FLOWERS

1.-We take some of the recycled papers (this will be for the center of our flower, in my case I chose black), With the help of the ruler at the top of the paper we are going to mark a point of 0.5cm, the same we will do down. We join the points with a straight line and cut.

2.- We take another recycled paper (this will be for the petals) and in the upper part we mark a point of 2cm and one of 2.5cm. We do the same at the bottom, then join the segments with a straight line and cut on the 2.5cm mark.

3.- We begin to make a vertical cut of approximately 1mm, the cuts must not exceed the line that we made with a pencil.
It would look like this:

4.- We take the thin strip that we made at the beginning and we will stick it right at the tip where the pencil marks are.
It looks like this:

5.-First we will work the thin strip, we will roll up to also do it with the large strip. After rolling, we put silicone on the strip to glue it completely and we also apply below the flower.

6.- Delicately we will open the petals of the flower.

They can make as many flowers as they want, of any size and color.

DECOR

To decorate I leave it to your imagination but I will tell you what to use and how I did it.

MATERIALS:

  • silicone
  • Small stones
  • Dry branches
  • golden glitter
  • Chain

1.- In the bulbs I put a little silicone to make them look like drops, and to these I applied the golden glitter (use nail paint), I also applied a little glitter in the aluminum part of the bulb.

2.- With the help of a small screwdriver, I opened a little hole in the aluminum part in order to fit the chain.
