Primeramente debo decir que es un concurso muy especial, no solo por la fecha que acaba de culminar, 14/02 Día del Amor y la Amistad; si, hay que celebrarlo, pero, siempre, debemos querer, amar y valorar a nuestros seres queridos, todos los días del año.

First of all, I must say that this is a very special contest, not only because of the date that has just ended, 02/14 Love and Friendship Day; yes, we must celebrate it, but we must always love, cherish and value our loved ones, every day of the year.

Quisiera “Declararle mi Amor” a varias personas especiales; como a mis Padres, que gracias a Dios aún están conmigo, o, a mis 4 hijos, mis tesoros, mi motor para hacer las cosas que hago a cada día; pero, tardaría mucho y quedaría super largo.

I would like to "Declare my Love" to several special people; like my parents, who thank God are still with me, or my 4 children, my treasures, my engine to do the things I do every day; but, it would take too long and it would be too long.

Decidí escoger a esa siguiente persona en mi lista, No… no es mi esposo, que a pesar de que hemos estado juntos casi 19 años (nota: este próximo 22 de febrero los cumpliremos), él no es a quien escogí.

Como ya dije en el título, a la persona a quien quiero “Declararle mi Amor” y admiración es a mi hermana mayor, Filomena; Yo siempre la he llamado Danuska.

Desde siempre, lo que logra alcanzar mi memoria, es que fue y es una mujer correcta. Siempre haciendo las cosas como debe ser.

Buena hija
Ingresa a la Universidad de Oriente, a estudiar una carrera que tristemente a ella no le gustaba, Bioanalisis, y solo para complacer a nuestra madre. Pasó 3 años de su vida perdidos; cambió de carrera, ingresando a la Universidad Experimental Simón Rodríguez a estudiar lo que siempre le había gustado, Educación.

¿Qué sería lo contrario de Admirar? Lo pensaba y lo sigo haciendo: “porqué sacrificar tu vida, tu tiempo, tus intereses, tus deseos, solo para complacer a otra persona que ya hizo su vida”, bueno, ella lo hizo y de cierta manera es de admirar.

Sigue su vida, pero ahora sí, estudiando algo que le gusta. En tiempo récord, finaliza sus estudios; siempre decía: “ya perdí 3 años, no quiero perder ni un día más”.

Good daughter

Otras de las cosas, características de mi hermana; en su largo noviazgo de 10 años, siempre respetó, acató, cumplió las decisiones y deseos nuevamente de nuestra madre.

Vamos a estar claro, cuando se está en un noviazgo, lo que queremos es salir, divertirnos, disfrutar, pero, mi mamá siempre fue muy como dicen “chapada a la antigua”, pero con ella, porque conmigo no pudo. 10 años, si señor… de verse casi siempre solo en la casa y solo los fines de semana, cero salidas. Las poquitas veces que salió con su novio, actual esposo, tenían que ir con ella algunos de nuestros hermanos, porque si iba conmigo eso no contaba.

The few times she went out with her boyfriend, now her husband, some of our siblings had to go with her, because if she went with me that didn't count.

Buena pupila
Mientras estudiaba también trabajaba. Estarán pensando, pero eso es normal, incluso hace 20 años; el detalle es que ella lo hizo casi gratis, una miseria para todo lo que hacía, pero, ella lo tomó como unas pasantías, un trabajo donde estaba adquiriendo experiencia. Tanto el personal directivo como docente e incluso representantes, en los 3 años que estuvo trabajando allí, le tomaron muchísimo cariño.

Su decisión de casarse, tener hijos, una familia después de graduarse, fue siempre irreversible, firme: “primero me gradúo y luego me caso, así debe ser”. Recibe su título de Licenciada en Educación, decide terminar sus “pasantías” en el colegio privado donde trabajaba y luego, un año y medio después se casa.

She receives her degree in Education, decides to finish her "internship" at the private school where she worked and then, a year and a half later, she gets married.

Persistente hasta donde se pueda
En sus planes estaba conseguir trabajo después de graduarse, ¡pero!. Cada año, con carpeta en mano, llevaba al Ministerio de Educación. Otra de las cosas que siempre decía era que, trabajar en un privado no era rentable, “ellos, los dueños, siempre se llenan los bolsillos, y le dan solo migajas a sus trabajadores”; por eso, su deseo era trabajar en alguna entidad pública.

No tuvo suerte, no la llamaron para trabajar, pero, le llegó un regalito, una hija de corazón, su sobrina… mi hija mayor. Ese año, para ayudarme a mí con los gastos de la bebé, realiza el primer “Plan Vacacional”, fue todo un éxito, y gracias a esto y para no quedarse sin hacer nada mientras le salía algún cargo por educación, inicia en septiembre sus tareas dirigidas.

8 años, llevando papeles al Ministerio de Educación; a cada profesor, educador, vecino o amigo del educador e incluso hasta a un diputado le llegó a entregar sus papeles. La respuesta era la misma, nada, nadie la llamaba.

Persistent to the best of my ability.

That year, to help me with the baby's expenses, she made the first "Vacation Plan", it was a success, and thanks to this and in order not to stay without doing anything while she got a position for education, she started in September her directed tasks.

For 8 years, taking papers to the Ministry of Education; to every teacher, educator, neighbor or friend of the educator and even to a congressman he delivered his papers. The answer was the same, nothing, nobody called her.

Decepción, tristeza, dolor
Luego de casarse le viene otra adversidad, una pérdida, un aborto. Ya no era solo la tristeza y decepción de no conseguir trabajo, pasaban los meses y tu tristeza inundaba su corazón cuando llegaba su menstruación. Sola en su cuarto rompía sus cositas, solo ella entendía ese dolor. Pasado un año decide acudir a un especialista, ambos, inician tratamiento, pasaban los meses y solo escuchábamos de lo triste que Danuska se sentía.

Sus palabras en llanto, mes tras mes, eran algo así: “Siempre he hecho todo bien. Estudié, me gradué, me casé, no metí la pata, ¿por qué a mí?, Yo hice todo bien”. Cada vez que podía le decía que tuviera paciencia, que se calmara, se tranquilizara: “ya vendrá algo bueno”.

Disappointment, sadness, grief.

It was no longer just the sadness and disappointment of not getting a job, months went by and your sadness flooded her heart when her menstruation came. Alone in her room she would break her little things, only she understood that pain. After a year she decided to go to a specialist, both started treatment, months went by and we only heard about how sad Danuska felt.

Her words in tears, month after month, went something like this: "I have always done everything right. I studied, I graduated, I got married, I didn't screw up, why me, I did everything right". Every time I could, I would tell her to be patient, to calm down, to be reassured: "something good will come".

Sorpresa
Decide organizar una fiesta para celebrar el aniversario de nuestros, todos los invitados estaban presentes y como siempre ella hacía y sigue haciendo de cada cosita algo muy especial, no nos extrañó que ese día hiciera una rifa. Cada quien agarró un papelito, todos en blanco excepto uno que decía: PREMIO SORPRESA; el regalo era un sobre. Al abrirlo era una prueba de embarazo que decía: POSITIVO.

Ese día lloré, temblé de la alegría, no solo estaba embaraza, eran gemelos, bueno, gemelas: Olga Giulianna y Sobella Luz. Nacieron un 03 de Octubre, ese día también lloré.

Surprise.
She decided to organize a party to celebrate our anniversary, all the guests were present and as she always did and continues to make every little thing very special, it was no surprise that she had a raffle that day. Everyone grabbed a piece of paper, all blank except one that said: SURPRISE PRIZE; the gift was an envelope. When I opened it, it was a pregnancy test that said: POSITIVE.

That day I cried, I trembled with joy, not only was I pregnant, they were twins, well, twins: Olga Giulianna and Sobella Luz. They were born on October 3rd, that day I also cried.

El destino no es siempre lo que esperamos
Mujer trabajadora, luchadora; lamentablemente el destino no le ha jugado de buena manera. Trabajó en una escuela pública, se iba a pie, a veces hasta sin comer, gastando de su bolsillo para entregar los informes que le pedían, malgastó esfuerzo físico y mental, con la esperanza de conseguir el puesto, sin pago alguno, y nada de nada, el gobierno le falló.

Fate is not always what we expect.
Hard-working woman, fighter; unfortunately destiny has not played her in a good way. She worked in a public school, she went on foot, sometimes even without eating, spending out of her pocket to deliver the reports she was asked for, she wasted physical and mental effort, hoping to get the job, without any payment, and nothing at all, the government failed her.

Declaro mi amor a: Mi Hermana
Filomena Danuska Pilimar, mujer única, no solo es una maestra ejemplar, dedicada a su trabajo, también es excelente con todo tipo de manualidades. Año tras año, en sus tareas dirigidas pone todo su esfuerzo para cumplirle a los niños y representantes, si tiene que quedarse sin comer para poderte cumplir, lo hace; si debe estar 24 horas seguidas sin dormir para terminar cualquier manualidad, cotillón, decoración, detallito, no duerme, te lo hace.

Buena hija, hermana, madre, tía, esposa, amiga, vecina. ¿qué más?… hasta la más pend|@#, perdón… gafa. Cuántas veces se le han ido los representantes y clientes sin pagar y ella no les exige, no dice nada. Así es mi hermana.
