Hello everyone, I hope you all are safe and doing well.
Yesterday, I heard about this contest from my friend @Kajalbitoni and I found this contest quite interesting. So here is my entry for this contest.
Delhi have many visiting sites, every site have its own story. But today as per the requirement of this contest, I am going to share my 5 favorite visiting sites with you.
Agrasen ki Baoli is basically a step well, which was constructed by Maharaja Agarsen in 14th century. It was constructed to harvest rain water. It is one of those places which have a hint of history and haunt together. This have marvelous architecture, due to which people and photographers visit this place in huge number.
This place is located near Connaught Place and have no entry fee to visit this place.
This places comes in the list of top 10 haunted places of Delhi. The structure is quite spooky and amazing due to which the officials decided to close this place before 07:00 PM. Even the guards never enter inside the structure after closing time.
It was constructed during Mahabharata period by legendary Agarsen. This Stepwell/ Baoli was rebuilt in the period of Tuglaq Dynasty.
Rumors are that the place mystic black water, which hypnotize people to jump into it and end lives and here you always feel the pressure of unseen force, if you are alone in this place. Even many claims to feel supernatural power there.

Shanti Stupa also known as World Peace Pagoda is located in Indraprastha Park, nearest to Nizamuddin metro station. This Stupa is inspired by Sanchi Stupa loacted in Madhya Pradesh. A symbol of Peace, Nonviolence and Brotherhood. Built with the white marble and have a golden pinnacle over the hemi spherical dome, which looks magnificent. It was inaugurated in the year 2007 by Dalai Lama.
Also have a gateway (toran) which shows three symbols of Buddhism. On the top of this is Dharma Wheel, in the middle The Stupa and on the bottom Bodhi Tree.
This Stupa is also have statues showing the symbols of Buddhism i.e. Lotus, Chakra(Dharma Wheel) and Bodhi Tree.
This Stupa is surrounded by a japenese garden. A perfect place to spend time with family and friends. No need to pay any entry fee for visiting this place.

India gate is Delhi's most popular/visiting tourist place. It is a War Memorial located at Rajpath. It was built in the memories of 70,000 warriors, who died in the first World War. The name of the martyrs is inscribed on the War Memorial.
There is a eternal flame which is known as Flame of Immortal Soldiers(Amar Jawan Jyoti).
On every Republic Day a huge parade beings from Rastrapati Bhawan, which is located in front of India Gate and passes around this War Memorial.
Every evening in between 07:00 PM and 09:30 PM, the India Gate is illuminated, which attracts most of local persons too. They come and have dinner with their family. A calm place to sit and have conversation with family or friends.
India Gate is surrounded by many parks and a broad straight road passes between India Gate and Rastrapati Bhawan. Many people uses that track for jogging and morning walk purposes too. There is also ponds and there is the facility of boating available. No need to pay entry fee for visiting War Memorial, but if you want to enjoy boating then you have pay.

Bangla Sahib is a Sikh Gurudwara for worshiping. It is situated near Connaught Place nearest to the Shivaji Stadium Metrostation. It was built in the memory of the eight sikh guru namely Guru Har Krishan by Baghel Singh in the year 1783.
It have magnificent white marble structure, topped with a golden dome in the center. It have decorated floors, pillars which are beautifully carved.
It was earlier a palace owned by ruler of Amber kingdom i.e. Raja Jai Singh and was known as Jaisinghpura Palace.
Like all religious places here also we have to remove our shoes before entering the complex and with covered head.
Nishan Sahib is a Tall Flag Mast which is located in the Gurudwara Complex. A tall flag pole which signifies the presence of Khalsa. The flag bears an emblem.
In the Gurudwara Complex there is a larger water tank known as Sarovar contains Holy Water. This water is considered to have healing properties.
Langar hall everyday serves free vegetarian meal to many people, which is extended to all. Here many people came and provide their voluntary service in the kitchen to help prepare the food.

Mughal Garden is known as Soul of Presidential Palace, located inside the Rastrapati Bhawan Complex. It was designed in the year 1917 by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Lady Harding. This garden is incorporated with Mughal Architecture with British Style.
The primary attraction of this garden is its blooming flowers, exotic plants and trees. This garden is incorporated with english style with mughal canals and terraces.
The best season to visit this garden is spring between mid of February to March. As in the spring season many flowers bloom. It has remarkable collection of rose plantation as 159 decorative varieties of roses bloom every spring.
No entry fee, only registration required 24 hours before visiting the place. Opens at 09:00 AM and closes at 04:00 PM.
