Hello Wonderful women of Steemit. I'm grateful for this opportunity to show you my 5 favorite places in my city, Aba, Abia State in Nigeria.

Nigeria is a country made up of 36 states and Abia state is located in the south eastern part.

Now let's move on to my favorite places:

1. BOLE PALACE
   Bole Palace

Bole is a local dish loved by many in Nigeria. It is native to the Yoruba people but can be seen and gotten all over Nigeria because of its sweetness. Bole means roasted plantain. It can be eaten with groundnut, but many people (myself included) prefer eating this delicacy with roasted fish.

BOLE PALACE is a home to Bole.

It is located at #78 Aba Owerri road, Aba, Abia State.

WHY IT IS MY FAVOURITE
BOLE PALACE reminds me of the olden days Igbo culture. Not only can you get Bole here, you get to eat it in a traditional way. Rather than using modern day plates and cutleries to eat, you'll be served your delicacy in wooden bowls and calabash like it was done in the Igbo land decades ago.

The building also has a traditional Igbo setting. It was builded with bamboos with bamboo mats covering the whole place and the ceiling.

On the wall is the painting of a man pouring palm wine into a gallon. Behind him is another painting of a bicycle with two gourds of palm wine.

Did I mention they also sold palm wine at BOLE PALACE?

Palm wine is a drink that is gotten from a palm tree.

They also provide games for their customers so there'd be no dull moment.

This is called AYO. It is a traditional game that has been in existence for a long while.

2)ABA GOSPEL HUB
Aba Gospel Hub

ABA GOSPEL HUB is the name of the place where I worship. It is located at Benidon hall, Immaculate road, Aba, Abia State.

ABA GOSPEL HUB is a branch of a church called Rhythm 5 International. My church has lots of chapters in different parts of the country, Nigeria. There is a chapter in Owerri, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Lagos, Enugu, etc.

WHY IT IS MY FAVOURITE
I love my church very much and wouldn't like to replace it with another. Since I joined the church I have noticed tremendous change in my life as a whole, both in my knowledge and character.

3)HOTEL DE LA PAIX
Hotel de la paix

This is a name of a hotel in Aba. It is located at #38 Brass street, Aba. It is blue and milk in colour and is quite big. The staffs there are friendly, the environment is safe, neat and serene.

WHY IT IS MY FAVOURITE
I stayed at this hotel with some girls when I was chosen as a bridesmaid for one of my friends. The girls I stayed with very fun to be with and friendly.

They made me laugh so hard that I wouldn't mind reliving that day.

4)ABIA STATE POLYTECHNIC
Abia State polytechnic

This is my school where I am currently studying. It is one of the biggest tertiary schools in the whole of Abia State. Although compared to some tertiary schools outside of Abia state, it is not that big.

There are lots of students in my school and in various departments. We have departments like Accounting department, science laboratory technology (SLT), Mass communication department, architecture department, etc.

The polytechnic has a symbol of an elephant.

WHY IT IS MY FAVOURITE
Aside from the fact that I school in Abia State polytechnic, I've been able to meet some good friends. My schooling is what brought me to the city of Aba, and I've made connections to people worthwhile.

I've also learnt so much in the city of Aba, both in school and out of school.

5)ORCHARD FRIES
Orchard fries

This is a fast food I frequent a lot, both to eat and sometimes to just hang out with friends. Once, this fast food was a happening place in Aba where people troupe in to eat. Although not much people frequent here it is still one of my favorite place.

I love their fried chicken and chicken pie.
