"BACK 2 SCHOOL" by @kyrie1234 #club5050

January 3, 2022, Monday, is the first day of class for year 2022. So, it is our first day of the year so I had to wake up early, take abath so I can come to school early.
This was the scenario as I arrived the school. Our school had been an isolation for covid patients, so bed, water, and cctv cameras were provided. Before the typhoon tremendously hit our place, there were no more covid patients who stayed our school so the classrooms were now turned as evacuation center for those families and individuals who stayed along the shore and whose houses that used only light materials. And so, those t-shirts, shorts and undies were from the evacuees who just washed it. Good thing, they were safe during the typhoon even some ceiling of the classrooms fell down.
Before we get in the classroom, the DRRM team identified the safe classrooms for us to stay.
This was the classroom assigned for us. All grade 9 had to stay the TLE Building which was located at the back portion of the school beside the stage. As what you had noticed, due to the strong wind brought by the typhoon, the classroom assigned to us was so messy. The papers was scattered anywhere. Since, we were assigned here, we need to clean the area because this was our temporary classroom while some of the classrooms were used by the evacuees. Good thing, in our group we had 3 boys and we just finished cleaning for 3 hours. But we haven't mopped it yet since we still don't have water.
The covid virus nor the typhoon can't stop us from educating our young ones. So, as a teacher we will not just focus on our duty as a teacher teaching them, but we need to be the cleaners or maintenance of the school so that it will be safe for the kids or the parents in times of retrieval/distribution of modules. We haven't recover, yet, we were trying our best so we can move forward. Helping hand in hand and prayer were the keys so that we can move forward and start again.
Thank you for reading and have a great day everyone!
