Through giving, I felt very happy and grateful. Very happy because in my own little way I was able to put smile on the faces of these young kids. Yes, they will smile once they will hear that we prepared something for them. Kids were just easy to please, you will just give them food then they will jump for joy upon receiving it. Hopefully, we adults were also like that, we should be thankful to God whatever she provide may it be small or big. And we should learn the value of "contentment". We should learn how to be contented and spend accordingly.
I am also very grateful because I was able to feed this young kids and I notice that there were lots of helping hands in our place who were also wanted to extend their help on our little charity. And I can see that they also care for the kids.
Buying of Groceries
The day before the planned event, me and my husband @jmaxswivel went to SaveMore Pusok - a department store near our place. We went there to buy the food we needed for the charity, and these were the foods we bought:
- 54 pcs Rooler Coaster Chips
- 5 loaves of sliced bread
- 3 big packs of mayonaisse spread
- 6 sachets of orange juice
- 50 pcs plastic cups
- 2 packs of plastic container for the bread sandwich
The Preparation
We then started to prepare the bread sandwich by puting some mayonanaisse. Together with me were @jmaxswivel, @elaijah123, @mrs.cuyag, @babyjl and @jeyd. They were my sis-in-laws who really had the heart of giving. And since had the same mission so here we are helping each other and let the kids be happy by giving them something to eat.
After preparing the sandwich, we then arranged it on the table. This time since our population was getting bigger, we decided to have the activity outside the house.
After everything was all set, we then called up the kids to line up.
The Distribution
But before giving the food to the kids, I first gave a short message that emphasizes the value of sharing and giving thanks. Not all of us were given the chance to eat and received like this so we should be thankful.
My husband @jmaxswivel them led the prayer for the blessings.
We then started distributing the food to the less fortunate kids. And I am so happy seeing them smiling and excited upon receiving the blessing. We were also able to share the blessing to their parents who accompanied them to the venue.
