INDIAN LOCAL DRESSES

About Indian Tradition
INDIA is a vast country. It's a combination of different cultures. From having different cultures to different dance, music, food, traditions, religion, languages to different dresses.
All traditions and cultures are beautiful itself but I love my hindu culture and traditions.
Different cultures have there own tranditions, food, traditional dress, religion.

For example- GUJARAT have their own food, dress, culture and language (gujarati).

MAHARASHTRA have their own culture, food, dress, traditions and language (marathi).

ASSAM have their own culture, food, dress, traditions, and language (Assamese). And so on.

INDIA have 22 languages with different cultures, dresses, religions, foods. Which is rare in any country and this makes our country more beautiful and strong.

Gujarati lehenga speciality of gujarati tradition. Women loves to wear this colourful and heavy worked lehenga.
On the occasion of Navratri (9 Days festival) of India which depicts our 9 Devi celebrated as DANDIYA the dance festival.
Women wear this lehenga and play/perform dandiya with eachother.

And I love this traditional dress. It's so colourful and beautiful which shows new season and beginning In our culture.

SAREE

The journey of saree starts with cotton cloth but now it's available in so many variations such as :-
Chiffon
Silk
Cotton

In INDIA women always wear traditional dresses on occasions such as marriage, festival, poojan, etc.
Saree is one of them. Indian women always wear saree from special occasions to normal days.
Saree on Normal days are light and easy to carry on daily basis. On the other hand traditional saree is more heavy and carry some weight as per design or material work.

Yellow colour represent new life and glow and colour of haldi (Turmeric). In India women always wear yellow clothes on Haldi ceremony.

I personally loves to wear LEHENGA whenever I get a chance. INDIAN princess ( Rajasthan ) wore lehenga with heavy jewellery. Indian women wears saree, suit and lehenga according to their tradition.

I invite my friend @jyoti-thelight, @leenaa, @rinkisaxena and @sduttaskitchen to participate in this beautiful contest.

Cost of lehenga varies from material to material. Usually the amount of non bridal lehenga is around 142 Steem or less and more.

Thank you @steemwomensclub for conducting this beautiful community and contest.

I would love to. Your culture is very nice. And their women are also very beautiful. We know about India from its movies.

But? Can you choose who to fall in love with? or do their families decide who they will marry?

Yes, arrange marriage is normal in india. But now every one is accepting their choice and parents are now more friendly and liberal about everything.

And arrange marriage is not bad. It's just sometime children are forced to be in marriage without their consent.
And sometimes people do have consent for arrange marriage and they have successful and happy relation. It's just depend upon person to person not just a particular topic.

It may work for other but not for someone. Just like love marriage.

Look at the wedding pictures I have put on in this post. @alanasteemit

First one is arranged marriage and both are happy. Look at the couples faces.

And the second one is love marriage and they are happy.
