Hello bueatiful women

Culture they say " is the way of life" fashion shows and tells about where you are from.

Cilvilization and the migration of man has redifined the fashion of so many and Nigeria(the Igbo tribe) is not left out.

My is Nwabuguwu Jovita Nkiruka and i am from the Igbo tribe of Nigeria. I want to use this medium to introduce the local dress of my people ( the women category).

Before i start i want to appreciate the effort of @ngoenyi @steemwomensclub @svm038 for their effort to this community. I want to also appreciate all the ladies who has made this community fun to always visit.

The Igbo attires are not ramdom as every piece has meaning, but the truth is that modern civilization has influenced our fashion over time.

The fashion for a new bride and her maiden

in igbo fashion little cloths are worn by the braids maid and the and the bride a little bit covered. The best time to see the igbo fashion in its glory is at traditional weddings.

The bride is usually dressed with more beads than usual.
The igbo's are knowni with beads adorment, most especially for a new bride.

( the cost of the brides outfit in steem is from 50 to 60 steem depending on location of purchase. While that of the braidsmaids cost 20 to 25 steem each)

the above traditional outfit is the modernised version. But this can also varies as some wear lace in stead of ankara like the one above. All this depends souly on individuals financial budgets.

The married once always goes with the two wrapper and a the igbo blous. This signifies child birth and for easy child carriage. It is because at any time the mother can use one of the wrapper to attach the bay to her back.

The married women also adores them selfs with beed and just like the new brides this also deffer from individual budgets and personality.

The outfit of a modern Igbo bride

Like i said earlier fashion has envolved over time and this has show the diversity of our fashion, this can be worn by anybody now as long as it looks great on you, be it for a traditional wedding as a guest or a bride it just that the bride usually wears bead to show she is a new bride.

now we have the liberty to choose how traditional we want to look, but in general the Igbo tradition has a signature.
