Welcome to my page. I am so delighted creating this content 'cause I know it's gonna be beneficial to you and maybe someone around you too. Today I'm gonna be talking about vegetables and their benefits to our health. So feel free to ride on with me.
What are Vegetables?
First off, I'm gonna be saying that Vegetables are the edible parts of a plant, also known as calorie filler. They are rich sources of vitamins, minerals and they contain iron, antioxidants and fibres.
The green leafy vegetables contains the highest amount of nutrients one can ever have in a diet.
There are over a thousand types of vegetables all over the world today.
These vegetables have different taste and can be eaten raw, as juice when squeezed or as paste when blended. They can also be cooked and consumed differently.
Useful Tips on Vegetables
• On daily basis, take at least one different vegetable and add to your meal.
• In every of your meal, try to fill up half of your plate with vegetables especially those vegetables high in fibre. This helps to boost your immune system as well as keep you fit and healthy.
• If you've been battling with overweight, adding vegetables to your every meal will reduce your intake of carbohydrates and sugar, thereby putting diabetes on control.
Some of these vegetables are;
• Potatoes🥔
• Cabbage
• Vernonia amygdalina (bitterleaf)
• Cucumber
• Spinach
• Beans
• Pumpkin
• Radish
• Alfalfa sprouts
• Onions
• Carrots
• Garlic
• Seaweed (sea vegetables)
• Tomatoes
• Cauliflowers
• Broccoli
• Peas, etc.
Benefits of vegetables for Health
Vegetables are very important in our diet because of their numerous health benefits.
• Vegetables like carrots🥕contains fibres that helps the body get rid of excess waste from the body thereby fighting weight-gain, prevents heart diseases and controls the rise of blood cholesterol.
• Daily intake of vegetables helps to manage obesity, prevents type 2 diabetes, cancer and helps you to stay strong and without worrying about weight gain.
• Vegetables contains folic acids that helps to generate the production of red blood cells, thereby preventing anemia. These folic acid is also good for women who are menstruating and pregnant women.
• Vegetables have been proven to reduce stroke.
• Vegetables contains vitamins A and C which helps to boost the immune system, thereby fight infections and keep the body healthy.
• Vegetables prevents disintegration of bone matter and hinders the development of kidney stone.
Conclusion
Every woman who wants to stay strong and healthy, as well as maintain a young and beautiful look, plus a glowy skin, should not joke with eating vegetables.
Note; Daily intake of vegetables makes you healthy.
When someone is in health life becomes sweet and a healthy person is a wealthy person, just like the popular saying "Health is wealth" .

Vegetables are really very essential for our consumption. The vitamins are wonderful for our well being. It is one of the ways that the Almighty takes care of us. Eating it is for our benefit.
