Yaşadığım Şehrin Tanıtımı (Introducing the City I Live In)

Şadırvanda Sinan Pasa Camisi, Tas Köprü, Türk Konsolosluğu, Kafeler bulunmaktadır. Buranın halkı özellikle hafta sonları buraya akın ederler. Her yer tiklim tiklim dolu olur.

There are Sinan Pasa Mosque, Taşköprü, Turkish Consulate and Cafes from the fountain. The people of this place flock here especially on weekends. Everywhere is full of crowd.

Şadırvanda yol boyunca kafeler, seyyar satıcılar, pamuk seker satanlar, kestane közleyenler bulunmaktadır.

There are cafes, peddlers, cotton candy sellers, and chestnut roasters along the way in the fountain.

Burası Şadırvanın en işlek yerlerindendir. Burada dağların eteklerinden gelen temiz ve berrak suyu olan bir çeşme bulunmaktadır. Bu çeşmede gece- gündüz su akmaktadır.
Bu hafta şadırvanda gezerken bir sergiye eşlik ettim. Sergide Kosova’nın savaş yıllarında yasadıklarını ve halka yapılan zulmü anlatan resimler sergilenmekteydi.

Savaş yıllarından kısaca su şekilde bahsedeyim, Yugoslavya 1992 yılında özerk bölgelerinin bağımsızlığını ilan etmesi ile dağılmaya başladı. Hırvatistan, Bosna-Hersek, Slovenya, Kuzey Makedonya bağımsızlığını ilan etti. Bosna-Hersek’in Yugoslavya’dan bağımsızlığını kazanması sırasında yaşanan eşitliksiz savaş ve Sırp katliamları, Yugoslavya’nın parçalanması sürecindeki en büyük olaylardan biriydi. Kosova bu süreçte, Sırp baskısı ve askeri müdahaleleri sonucunda bağımsızlığına kavuşamadı. 1995 yılında Sırp ordusu Kosova'ya girdi ve birçok sivilin öldürülmesine sebep oldu. 1999 yılındaki NATO Müdahalesi ile Kosova, Sırbistan idaresinden koparıldı. Kosova, 17 Şubat 2008 pazar günü bağımsızlığını ilan etti.

This place is in the busiest places of Şadırvan. There is a fountain with clean and clear water coming from the foothills of the mountains. Water flows in this fountain day and night.
This week I accompanied an exhibition while strolling in the fountain. At the exhibition, pictures depicting the experiences of Kosovo during the war years and the persecution of the people were on display.

Let me briefly mention the war years, Yugoslavia started to dissolve in 1992 when its autonomous regions declared their independence. Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia and North Macedonia declared their independence. The unequal war and Serbian massacres during the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Yugoslavia were one of the biggest events in the process of the disintegration of Yugoslavia. During this period, Kosovo could not gain its independence as a result of Serbian pressure and military intervention. In 1995, the Serbian army entered Kosovo, killing many civilians. With the NATO Intervention in 1999, Kosovo was cut off from the Serbian administration. Kosovo declared its independence on Sunday, February 17, 2008.

Sergiden sonra yeni yapılan çarsıya geçtim. Burası iki yıl önce inşa edildi. Özellikle Pazar günü buraya ve şadırvana ülkenin yakın şehirlerinden halk akın etmektedir.

After the exhibition, I moved to the newly built market. This place was built two years ago. Especially on Sunday, people from nearby cities of the country flock here and to the fountain.

Çarsıda, eşim ve arkadaşımla kahve içtikten sonra evime dönerek şehir turumu tamamlamış oldum.

After drinking coffee at the bazaar with my wife and friend, I returned home and completed my city tour.
