One of the best Filipino traits is the unbelievable resilience to hardship. We are very patient when it comes to any kind of hardship. Three weeks after Hurricane Odette, most evacuees are still struggling to get out from the evacuation center. So when we reported to our school, we were shocked to find that there were still so many evacuees staying there.
They were given an extension. Actually, they would have only stayed here until Dec 31,2021. But on January 7,2022, a lot of them still stay here at school because they have no where to stay for now. As in, there houses were really destroyed by the storm.

So we teachers, because we can't do anything with this kind of situation. We just continue with our clearing mission. Although we felt sorry for them, as there were many small children too. We are also victims of the typhoon. Even my house was also ruined, the whole roof was transferred to the ground with its braces. The damage was severe, there was hardly any left ... all but ruined.
Even our school was not forgiven by the typhoon. The roof of the first building was completely destroyed.

Until now, it is still very difficult to find a signal. There is no electricity, and the scarcity of water is still severe.
Hopefully, soon we can all get up. Both financially and emotionally. Even the trauma, hopefully, would soon be alleviated. Because when you check around, only a few surpass the damage that the storm has brought. Hopefully, the evacuees will be able to find a place to go home soon. It's a pity to look at the innocent children in this kind of situation. I still hope everyone will overcome this difficulty ...soon in God's grace.
Till here, keep safe everyone!
Cheers,
