The Diary Game | June 19, 2022 | Girls Day Out and Quick Movie Review

I had been waiting for a long time to watch Top Gun 's sequel. Now that I got a chance to go to movies today, I watched Kamli instead.

It so happened, my cousins made a plan to have a Girls-Day-Out. We planned to watch a movie and everyone else was interested in Pakistani movie, Kamli. Therefore, I didn't argue and thought to save Top Gun for husband.

We arrived at Universal Cinemas, 15 minutes prior to the showtime. We got our tickets, bought some popcorns and moved towards the hall.

Thankfully, we were able to get seats in the back. We didn't have to wait as we just arrived in time when the first scene was playing.

My Short Review of "Kamli"

It was a 2 hours and 10 minutes watch. The film starred some reputable actresses like Saba Qamar, Sania Saeed and Nimra Bucha.

The whole movie was filmed in a remote area of Northen Punjab, Pakistan. Glamourless, simple and quiet set up made the movie one of its kind.

There were very few dialogues, yet the expressions and the actions of the characters were precise and deep which keep the audience glued to the screen.

It was a tale of abandonement, lost love, desires and secrets, filmed as an enchanting fairy tale. I have seen nothing close to it in Pakistani movies. It was different.

Well, we expected nothing less from the producee , Sarmad Khoosat.

Post Movie Food Hunt

We couldn't find any eatries near cinema so we opted for the nearest mall as I had to exchange some clothes from there as well.

We tried a new pizza place, Al-Kaif. I was keeping my expectations low but to my surprise, it was one of the best, creamy and cheesy pizza - just the way I like my pizzas.

My meals rarely include desserts. However, when I'm accompanied with friends or at official dinners, desserts are a thing. We got fried icecream rolls. I chose Lotus Biscoff flavor and it was mind blowing. I totally recommend it if you don't like your desserts to be too sweet.

After dinner, I went to do my chores in the mall. I got free in half an hour. We were going to get a cab but my dad told me that he was coming to pick us up.

He reached in few minutes. On our way, it started raining. We enjoyed the weather and the ride.

My father dropped my cousins to their home and then we came back to ours. I brought Happy Meal from McDonald's for my kids to compensate for the day away. They were happy to see me and their meal.
