THE STORY
I travelled from the city of Aba in Abia State to Azuogwogwo , a village in Obingwa LGA of the same state to attend my friend's traditional wedding. I and my younger sister, @beewrites left Aba by 3:20pm for the venue of the traditional wedding and arrived by 4pm. The bride has been my friend since my college days.

Our friendship started in year one first semester and since then, she has been nothing short of amazing. I remember vividly how she slept in the lecture hall with others just to secure our seats during examinations numerous times.
She did the work of watching out for me especially when I was heavily pregnant and could no longer attend night classes and also helped in submitting all my assignments when I put to birth and couldn't come to school for a week and 2 days. She even organised some of my coursemates who came with her to visit my baby immediately we got discharged from the hospital.

THE WEDDING
Before our arrival, the indoor rites had already been done and everyone had come out to sit under the canopy provided for guests. The bride's people has a tradition of wearing 2 different outfits, the first to welcome the guests

and the second for the marriage proper. Since she is a core Adventist, hence her "no necklace, no earrings and no makeup" and of cause, no alcoholic drinks on the table . The things that needed alcohol were settled with money. ()IMG_20210815_165039_643.jpg]()

I met few of my coursemates there at the wedding and we took some pictures. ![IMG_20210815_164434_790.jpg]IMG_20210815_165403_244.jpg

After spending some time with them, we left the venue for Aba by 5:05 pm while the celebration was still on because I left my 7months old son in the care of my sister-in-law before going for the wedding. We got to the house at about 6pm, took our baths and retired to bed.
I couldn't help but smile in my dreams because the traditional wedding was a successful one and hope the white wedding will be better, here is the invite
