Marrying an Acehnese woman is something that young people are proud of. Because there are so many features of Acehnese women that make young people want to take Acehnese women as wives.

Acehnese women are known for their beauty which is very similar to the beauty of Arab women. So it is not surprising that Aceh is dubbed the land of the Veranda of Mecca. Not only beautiful, Acehnese women are also famous for their shy nature and noble character. Despite being shy, Acehnese women are still smart and tough.

Not only that, Acehnese women are also famous for their expensiveness so that if young men marry Acehnese women, he will spend almost all of his wealth to marry Acehnese women. Acehnese women wear gold dowries not with grams, but with mayam. One mayam is equivalent to 3 grams of gold. The current price of one gold mayam is around 2,500,000 Rupiah. Therefore, it is not surprising that Acehnese women are called expensive.

Aceh also has a custom of bringing gifts to the bride in various ways. Starting from cosmetic tools, skincare, clothing, cloth, food, and so on.
Bringing gifts for the bride can not be brought as we please, but there is how much is asked by the bride. If the bride asks in large quantities, then the groom must comply.
