Taking Care Of The Girl Child

Today, I welcome you to my blog. I have been having a strong urge to write to us because of the season we are in.

We all know this is a festive season which will require us traveling and meeting with our loved ones, whom we have missed a lot.

I want to create our awareness of our girl child or children, depending on the number of girls you are blessed with.

We were all once girls before we became ladies and women. While growing up, many of us may have been molested by people around us. It can be our neighbors, uncle's, brothers or any male person who lives under our roof.

I want us to know, that these molesters are not outsiders but people living with us. Yes people living under our roof. They are people whom we least expect to molest the girl child.

We as mother's, I want to encourage us, as we travel around for the festive season, ensure you look out for your girl child(ren)

Buy them pants to cover them up, also educate them not to sit on any uncle's lap. If they have started talking, educate them about their private parts. Let them know the name. Tell them that no one should touch their private parts. If they are babies, you as the mother should be a watch dog over them.

Let's protect the girl child against pedophiles
