Operation repair the life of a widow as a Commmunity Solution : Creating start-ups in Cameroon to empower Indigenous Women in local communities

Hello Steemers, today I bring you my entry to the new creative contest of @steemwomensclub in the Steem Women Club Community Contest # 8 'Handicrafts'. a new engagement called Community Solution, I have been volunteering as a consultant to boast the economic life of indigenous women through social enterprise initiatives.
When we train a woman in each community she is responsible to train 5 as a payback to the community.


Join us in a Community Solution follow-up field work to see what our women beneficiaries are doing in the local levels to be self reliant and to help commmunities with local solutions to local problems. This is a stand of display for a widow we empowered days back.

This is the omo and soap sold already to the local market by one of the traninees. She already created her own business.

The Women community Solution just started the project and a good number of women have been trained, 25 widows as Community Solution Ambassadors in Banten Village , Nkum Sub-Divission of Cameroon that has trained over 100 widows as payback in local craft skills that help promoting sustainable businesses, add value to,local agriculture, promoting the cultivation, processing and use of herbal plants.

Community solution is promoting the transformation of farm products (vegetables, tubers, grains etc) for the local and external markets.

Community Solution is protecting the rights and interest of minority and indigenous groups through skills development for self-resilience and sustainability..
Community Solution is promoting self-help / self-reliance among women and vilnerable youths and vulnerable groups.
Promoting preventive ecomomic life and health through the art – witj slogans thag healing comes from nothing.

To advocate for an enabling environment for development, by being the voice of the voice of the voiceless, leadership structures, educating the masses especially the vulnerable (with more focus on women and youths) about entrepreneurship and sustainable natural resource management and food security frameworks through appropriate trainings and assistance.

To restore the dignity of the family by building resilient and dignified communities through sustainable resource management with a focus on organic agricultural practices and entrepreneurial self-help initiatives.
To have an indigenous community that is able and capable of using the local approach to render solutions to local problems.
We value community empowerment for improved food security, wealth building with focus on the rural communities especially widows and and youths without jobs in villages.
This will reduce rural exodus.

In the past 6 years i.e as from 2019 while still working as communuty solution worker in Bamti, Noni sub division. My team and I observed that there was a lot of violations against women who suffer violence and illnesses which paralyzed the local population from education and economic activities in this area that can fit in the local context.

This situation worsen with the onset of the Anglophone crises in the North west and South west regions of Cameroon and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The population believes mostly in imported ideas i.e they don’t believe in the use of available natural resources as source of food and medicine.

Women and children were must affected. My team and I then decided to build our capacity which we then work with other organisations in empowering the rural community. After which we then decided to make ourselves known by registering our own organisation. It was registered on the 6th of May 2020 with the registration number
Today we succeeded to engage 30 communities through a traditional ruler in Nkwen ,Mezam Bamenda NW-Cameroon.

The project is presently reconized under the registration. N° NW/GP/031/20/16619 in the Ministry of Agriculture and rural development in Cameroon and women stand a better change benefiting beyond.
