My Pancit Bam-i Recipe

Pancit is a rice noodle introduced by Chinese here in the Philippines. There are many kinds of noodles. In Philippines, Pancit is prepared during birthdays, weddings and other ocassions and mostly being ordered in Panciterias and restaurants. So here's how I made pancit for my family's lunch...
Ingredients
- 5 tbsp Oil
- 1 pc Minced Onion
- 1 clove Minced Garlic
- 1/8 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 can Drained Sardines (do not include the sauce in cooking if you don't like its taste with the whole dish)
- 3 pcs sliced potatoes (cube)
- 1 pc thinly sliced carrots
- 1 pc Sliced red bell pepper
- 1/2 Sliced cabbage
- 500 ml Water
- 200 g Pancit bihon
- 150 g Pancit canton
Ingredients measurement that depends on your taste :
- Pepper powder
- Salt
- Seasonings
Cooking Instructions
STEP 1
Place the rice noodles in a large bowl, and cover with warm water. When soft, drain, and set aside.
STEP 2
Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until soft. Add the drained sardines stir, and add soy sauce and seasonings.
STEP 3
Add water into the wok or skillet let it boil.
Add the sliced carrots and potatoes (you can also add Baguio beans if available ) let it boil until the vegetables begin to soften.
Add salt to taste.

STEP 4
Add the noodles, mixed up the bihon and canton and cook until heated through, stirring constantly.
And finally put the sliced cabbage and mix well.
Add pepper to taste .

After cooking transfer the pancit into the serving dish.you can add lemon or kalamansi and pepper for garnish.
You can also eat pancit as snacks, you can pair it with bread ☺️.
