How to travel cheap and what are the basic expenses to have into account?
Hi everyone on the SteemWomen Club community!! It's been a long time since I don't public here! I'd like to empower all of you girls, to travel with a friend or even alone, and specifically, I want to share with you HOW TO SPEND ALMOST NOTHING WHILE TRAVELING.
We all know that many of us have difficult economical situations, and travel is an expensive activity at the first sight, right?
Well, let me share with you my experience, where I'm spending just a few necessary things while traveling (things that I even spent in my home city).
What you NEED to consider as a traveler
Talking about money, you have to take into account the following:
Your ticket to your first destination (maybe you'll need a plane, a train or a bus): you can't avoid this spending, because it's what you need to move in the first time.
Food
Transport
Hygiene items
Accommodation
How to make them cheaper??
First ticket: Buy it with time!! 3 or 4 months in advance for a far destiny and 1 month for those closest to you.
Food: for water, always check if it's potable in your destination, so you can save money there. For the food, avoid restaurants, look for the supermarket and always go to markets far from the tourist centers.
Transport: always choose the bus!! You can spend more hours traveling, but you'll save a lot of money!
Hygiene items: choose solid shampoo (it lasts longer!!), start using the menstrual cup! You'll save a lot on this point!
Accommodation: Stay for longer in the same place and rent an apartment, talk with other travelers to ask for the cheaper websites, stay in hostels (in shared rooms for 8 people or more), y visit the cities in low season!!
How to visit different cities while traveling, without spending so much money?
One word: VOLUNTEERING!!
Honestly, for being a traveler, you just need to find the most difficult thing: THE COURAGE TO QUIT to your traditional life!
While traveling you spend the same or even less than you can spend in your home (depending on the destination, of course).
But with the volunteering option you have covered:
Accommodation
Food
So you only have to think about the transport and hygiene items!!
It sounds easy, and it is!! You'll meet so many people that are currently on the rad living in this way. Again... the difficult part is the beginning! To be able to take this decision!
I really wish this post has helped you!!
If you have any doubt about traveling, you can always ask me! And sorry if I don't respond very fast! I don't always have the chance to find good WiFi
With much love,
Belén

Hola Belen! Como estas? Que tal tu viaje? cuantas cosas lindas has visitado? Espero que puedas compartir muchas fotos con nosotras.
Esta muy buena informacion, no se si somos todas, o la mayoria, pero siempre soñas con hacer lindos viajes, con hermosos paisajes, bellos lugares, rica comida.
Estoy tomando nota, seguramente algunos consejos me servirán..
