Assalamualaikum Friends!


I am here to share a recipe, which probably is loved by everyone. Following the Saturday recipe day, I am going to share the **shami Kabab recipe** with you all. So let's begin with it.

SHAMI KABAB

We know the one of the most important and a must side dish to serve the guests with in a feast is Shaami Kabab. It can be made from beaf or mutton, but we have used chicken , bcz I like it the most.

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken 1/2 kg
  • Daal chana( chick pea lentils) 1/2kg
  • Onion 1large
  • Potatoes 2 medium size (optional)
  • Green chillies 4-5 pcs
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Mint leaves 1handfull
  • Coriander leaves 1 handful

Spices

  • Coriander powder 1tsp
  • Cumin powder 1tsp
  • Black pepper 3-4
  • Chilli flakes 1tsp
  • Chaat masala 1/3 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/3 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/3 tsp
  • Black cardamom 1pc
  • Cinnamon 2 pcs
  • Clove 3-4 pcs
  • Salt per taste

PROCEDURE

1st step

  • At very first washed the chicken, lentils and soak them in water for 30 minutes. Chopped the onion and green chillies.

  • Grinded the spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and black pepper.

  • In a pan, added daal, chopped onion, all the spices and ginger garlic. Added 3 cup water into this pan and put this on flame. Waited until the water absorbed and it was fully cooked.

2nd step

  • Boiled the chicken. For this, in a pan added chicken, 4 cups water, 1tbsp salt, whole cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and 1tsp of oil. After boiled, shredded the chicken.

3rd step

  • Cut the potato and boiled them. Chopped the green Coriander and mint leaves for garnishing. Mashed the daal masala using mince machine.

4th step

  • Mixed all the items well. These were daal masala which was prepared, shredded chicken, coriander and mint leaves, salt if required, cumin seeds, and an egg.

  • Made round shaped Kabab.

  • Fried the Kababs by coating with an egg.

Waisay I can understand, aik time k baad nhi khayi jaati wohi salads repeatedly. Healthy food doesn't suit Pakistanis na😂.
